Diving Deeper into GEODUDE’s Capabilities One of Geodude’s standout features is its ability to post-process monitoring data for detecting progressive movements. Unlike traditional platforms that stop at 3D visualization, GEODUDE goes further—analyzing geotechnical data to identify early warning signs of impending slope failures. In a recent example with radar data, GEODUDE accurately pinpointed the area at risk and predicted the timing of the collapse by updating the map with every new radar displacement input. This isn’t just about visualization; it’s about anticipating failure before it happens. But GEODUDE’s power goes beyond radar data. Its versatile processing engine applies the same advanced approach to a wide range of data types, including InSAR, Prisms, GNSS, and more. What truly sets GEODUDE apart is its flexibility: this is just one of the many powerful analyses possible with GEODUDE and users can define custom analytics to implement site-specific calculations, tailoring the platform to their unique monitoring needs. Its adaptability makes it not just a tool, but a game-changing solution for geotechnical data integration and risk assessment. #Geodude #GeotechnicalMonitoring #ProgressiveMovementDetection #PredictiveAnalysis #Geoapp #DataIntegration #RiskManagement #InnovationInGeotech #SmartMonitoring

This week we had the pleasure to hold a training session at our headquarters in Firenze on Advanced Analysis and Interpretation of Geotechnical Monitoring Data for the Tuprag geotechnical team. It has been a good opportunity to share with the geotechnical engineers of the largest gold open pit in Turkey our respective vision and experience on the state of practice of methods to interpret complex datasets collected by numerous technologies, including geodetic sensors, ground based radar, satellite InSAR and geotechnical instrumentation. Systematic analysis of monitoring data aimed at identifying anomalous behaviours, potentially indicating approaching failure conditions, as well as methods to understand the deformation mechanism from monitoring data have been the main topics covered. A lot of technical discussions, but also time to enjoy the Italian food, including pizza and Tuscan delights, and to visit the beauty of Firenze for our Turkish friends. #geotechnicalmonitoring #slopestability #mining

Proud to have Geoapp principal consultant Paolo Farina supporting the Geotechnical Center of Excellence, at the University of Arizona being involved in the Fundamentals of Open Pit Slope Design course. https://lnkd.in/dCxpqcEq
I have the pleasure to annouce that I'm going to present the 7.8 Slope Monitoring module at the online course on 'Fundamentals of Open Pit Slope Design', organized by the Geotechnical Center of Excellence, at the University of Arizona. The module will cover the topics related to slope monitoring included in Chapter 12 of the The Large Open Pit Project book Guidelines for Open Pit Slope Design. This week our colleague Davide Colombo attended the Tailings and Mine Waste Conference 2024 in Denver, Colorado giving a speech at the InSAR workshop organized by Nahyan M. Rana, Ph.D., P.Geo., titled "Optimizing Monitoring Data utilization on TSF through Integration and Advanced Analytics". It was a very well attended and well organized event. Deformation monitoring is becoming year after year an important topic in the T&MW community. It is time now to fully exploit the information content embedded into the data with systematic data analytics tools to support the decision making process.

Great presentations and discussion at the Mine Slope and Subsidence Monitoring Seminar organized by NIOSH. Paolo Farina, Geoapp principal consultant, had the opportunity to present today at the seminar a speech titled "Data analytics for the identification of developing instabilities in open pit mines, waste dumps and TSFs". Thanks to the organizers for the great event. More info about the events and NIOSH can be found here. https://lnkd.in/egsk4Fyk #mining #safety #slopemonitoring #

Geoapp is proud to have participated in the last years first to the assessment of the stability of the slopes around the Castello della Sala, in Umbria, famous for the awesome white wines produced from its vineyards, and more recently to have supported the stabilization works through the near real time monitoring of the slopes during the construction of a retaining wall. https://lnkd.in/dXzPZrM4
