LIFE GREEN VULCAN è il progetto LIFE del mese di Giugno 2024! Life Green Vulcan: “Masterbatch devulcanizzati ad alte prestazioni per il riutilizzo di pneumatici fuori uso in applicazioni di compounding tecnico ad alto volume” La gomma è un materiale di grande valore, cruciale per molti settori industriali, tra cui la mobilità, e difficile da sostituire. La gomma è anche un materiale estremamente difficile da riciclare. Il progetto LIFE Green Vulcan, co-finanziato dalla European Commission nell’ambito del LIFE Programme 2014-2020, grazie all’applicazione di una tecnologie innovative messe a punto dai partner rende più efficiente l’utilizzo di gomma riciclata per applicazioni industriali ad alto contenuto tecnico. Questo risultato apre la strada all’utilizzo di gomma riciclata di alta qualità per molte applicazioni industriali, consentendo un significativo risparmio di gomma vergine e in particolare di gomma naturale, in pieno allineamento con la direttiva EUDR (The European Union Deforestation Regulation), e una notevole riduzione di emissioni di CO2. Il progetto è coordinato da Innovando Srl, azienda impegnata nell’ambito del recupero dei materiali a fine vita, ed ha come partner Stellantis, Bridgestone EMEA, il Centro di Ricerche FIAT, RUBBER CONVERSION e l’ Università di Trento. 🇷🇸 While I was in #Serbia at the Vivaldi Forum @Mokrogorska, my outstanding colleague Alessandro Coggi was in #Hannover at the Tire Technology Expo, presenting revolutionary results achieved by RUBBER CONVERSION and companies like Bridgestone EMEA, Stellantis, Centro Ricerche Fiat, Innovando, Università di Trento & Ambiente Italia S.r.l. ♻️ In the #tire industry, sustainability has become a crucial focus, driving companies to adopt #ecofriendly practices and reduce their #EnvironmentalFootprint. The listed companies, participants in the project within the LIFE Programme - LIFE GREEN VULCAN, are leading the way by incorporating sustainable #materials and responsible #WasteManagement practices. 🌳By investing in sustainable materials, tire #manufacturers are paving the way for a #greener and more environmentally conscious future. An example that concretely articulates #commitment of these companies for a more sustainable society: using 100% sustainable materials in products by #2050, while significantly reducing #CO2 emissions! 🔐 #Throwback: ETRMA included Natural Rubber in its Critical Raw Material list in 2017, reconfirming the #CRM status also in 2020, which talks explicitly about rubber’s priority status in #EU policy and the importance of securing fair and sustainable #supply of natural rubber for #European industry. 🪂Congrats also to my stunning #csuite team: Daniele Fornai, Giuseppe Magistrale, Filippo Fochesato Colombani, Roberto De Simone, Luca Damaschi & Francesco di Pierro.

🌟 Celebrating Milestones! 🌍 The LIFE GREEN VULCAN Project marked its grand finale with the 4th and final Monitoring Visit at Stellantis HQ in Turin on Nov 14-15. Project Coordinator Francesco di Pierro led the way, sharing the incredible journey and achievements with partners, Project Officer Aurelio Politano, and monitor Lorenzo Mengali. 🔧 Nicola Pugno, Università di Trento, unveiled results from Action A1, showcasing a cutting-edge rubber compound simulation tool. Filippo Fochesato, RUBBER CONVERSION, then dazzled with outcomes from Action B1, spotlighting SRC Devulcanized Masterbatches and industrial testing. 🚗 Michele Rabito Crescimanno, Stellantis, detailed B2.1's achievements in preindustrial spring pad production. Mauro Patelli, Bridgestone EMIA, introduced Action B3, paving the way for Alessandra Calzetta’s insights on PCR treads. 🌱 Elisa D’Amico, Ambiente Italia, delved into Action C1’s impact monitoring via LCA. Francesco Di Pierro, Innovando, wrapped up with Action C2’s exploits, from Intellectual Property Rights to replication plans. 🏭 The consortium explored Stellantis facilities, immersing in the project's tangible outcomes.
