We are delighted to announce the launch of YN 20655, now officially named Solemates. This remarkable 55-metre steel yacht, previously code-named Project Venus, exemplifies Heesen’s commitment to luxury and innovation in yacht design. Rupert Connor from Luxury Yacht Group, representing the owners, emphasised that returning to Heesen was a natural choice for their experienced client. “Heesen’s exceptional quality standards and unwavering commitment to exceeding expectations ensured that Solemates would be another extraordinary build,” Connor stated. “The construction process with this Dutch shipyard was, once again, a pleasure, as their project team enthusiastically embraced our requests.” Interior customisation is being expertly managed by Heesen’s interior engineers in collaboration with Silvia Margutti of LUCA DINI Design & Architecture. Together, they aim to deliver a space that perfectly reflects the owner’s unique preferences. The yacht’s vibrant colour scheme, incorporating lime greens, teal, and baby aqua blue, adds a lively elegance that complements its family-friendly concept. Heesen Yachts’ CEO, Niels Vaessen, expressed excitement over this launch: “The launch of Solemates illustrates our commitment to delivering exceptional quality and innovative design. We take pride in creating yachts that not only meet but exceed the aspirations of our clients.” Solemates is set to make her grand debut at the Monaco Yacht Show S.A.M. next September, followed by an appearance at the Palm Beach International Boat Show. LUCA DINI Design & Architecture for Simply Custom. «For a while now, the market has demanded a large aft in direct contact with the sea. This drove us to design a new onboard area, expanding the so-called ‘beach club’ to the full height of its potential. Thus was born the idea of a beach club on two levels, with the aim of not only putting guests in touch with the sea, but also realizing a 500sqm environment that can be used in multiple ways and situations. The second level is every bit as fabulous as the most exclusive beach clubs on the Côte d’Azur. Large sunbeds surround an expansive infinity pool, with bars on either side that each convert into a DJ console. The internal area is a stylistic continuation of outside, it various doors fully opening to create a completely integrated space with panoramic terraces. The two decks are architecturally connected by a monumental staircase which, thanks to a mirror ceiling, gives the illusion of extending infinitely.
