Recently, part of our team had the opportunity to visit Gruppo Romani S.p.A. Industrie Ceramiche, a key player in the ceramics industry, for an insightful learning experience. The visit provided a valuable chance to deepen our understanding of production processes and the methodologies behind innovative solutions, inspiring new ideas and reflections for our projects. We explored the latest advancements in applied technologies and how they intersect with the challenges of design and architecture. A special thank you to Gruppo Romani for hosting us and sharing their expertise and vision, and to Federico Bruno, our Material Specialist, for organizing the visit. #ParkAssociati #MaterialInnovation #DesignResearch #ArchitectureAndTechnology

Chi siamo
Park Associati is an interdisciplinary collective of architects, designers, and researchers, united by the desire to shape the future of the built environment. Founded in Milan in 2000 by Filippo Pagliani and Michele Rossi, the studio operates across architectural, urban, landscape, interior, and product design, championing an interdisciplinary approach. Every project developed by Park Associati inhabits its own specific context, from the Regione Lombardia skyscraper to the headquarters of Luxottica and Salewa, from residential and retail spaces to the revitalization of modernist buildings or entire neighborhoods. Park Associati immerses itself in the deep richness of each design opportunity, to uncover its inherent identity and deliver a transformative vision. One that’s new, unique and coherent in all its elements. Operating at the intersection between tradition and innovation, the studio excels at reinterpreting and regenerating cities to become new models of liveability and sustainability, using adaptive reuse as a core strategy. The collective looks far ahead, anticipating the full impact of its architecture. By doing so, Park Associati gives form to a multitude of experiences, researches and perspectives, striving to enrich lives and foster a new bond between people, places and planet. Park Associati is proud to join leading architecture firms in the Energiesprong IT Milano project, coordinated by EDERA - enabling deep regeneration and supported by Fondazione Cariplo. Through a series of workshops, we are working towards a scalable model for the regeneration of Milan’s public housing stock—overcoming process inefficiencies with an industrialized approach and prioritizing architectural and social quality. The results will be presented on June 18, along with an open call for innovative technical and economic solutions. #urbanregeneration #Energiesprong

This Friday, March 14 at 12:00 pm, Park Associati will participate in Cluster portuali in transizione – Pianificazione integrata e progetto nell’interfaccia porto-città, a two-day symposium at Politecnico di Milano, exploring the evolution of Italian port clusters and their impact on urban and regional development. Curated by Chiara Nifosì and Fulvia Pinto (DAStU - Politecnico di Milano) and Massimo Clemente (ITC - CNR), the event continues the dialogue from the (Re-) Connecting Maritime-Urban Ecosystems symposium at TU Delft, bringing together experts from academia, design, and port management. It will focus on the 2016-17 port reform, which restructured Italy’s ports into integrated clusters, aligning with European policies on sustainability, climate adaptation, and regional cooperation. Park Associati will contribute to the session "Cluster Portuale del Mar di Sicilia Orientale", where Filippo Pagliani (Founding Partner) and Michele Versaci (Strategy and Proposal Coordinator) will discuss the role of infrastructure planning and urban-port integration alongside Riccardo Lentini (Head of Infrastructure and Planning, AdSP Mar di Sicilia Orientale) and Ignazio Lutri (ilarchitetti, President of IN/ARCH Sicilia). How can architecture foster community, accessibility, and adaptability in urban living? With Le Altane di Lambrate, we introduce a new housing model designed around people and their evolving needs. Developed in collaboration with CCL – Consorzio Cooperative Lavoratori, the project embraces participatory design, actively involving future residents in shaping their homes. This approach ensures that spaces are not only functional but also reflect the real social and economic needs of those who will inhabit them. At the heart of the project is the Altana, a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional Venetian rooftop loggia. By integrating affordable housing solutions, communal spaces, and green areas, Le Altane di Lambrate promotes inclusive and sustainable urban growth. The project responds to Milan’s housing challenges, offering high-quality, economically sustainable homes for key workers, young professionals, and diverse social groups. Two decades after the landmark investigation that spotlighted a new generation of Italian architects, Il Foglio Quotidiano revisits the trajectory of the studios that have reshaped the country’s architectural landscape. Among them, Park Associati, featured in Giorgio Santilli’s in-depth analysis, with insights from Paola Pierotti. "Here, the winning factor is exactly the choice that many others have missed: combining outstanding architecture with the ability and determination to generate economic value." — Paola Pierotti on Park Associati. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Giorgio Santilli, Il Foglio, and in particular Paola Pierotti for highlighting our work and vision. This recognition is an honor and reinforces the principles that have always guided us: merging architectural excellence with economic value, designing spaces that leave a lasting impact on the urban fabric, and fostering an ongoing dialogue between innovation, sustainability, and the culture of design. Last Friday, the Model Making & Digital Fabrication workshop continued at Park Associati, guided by Federica Arici, Architect, Model Maker, and Digital Fabrication Specialist. Part of our ongoing commitment to learning and collaboration, this workshop enhances the role of physical models in the design process, bridging digital tools and hands-on techniques. After finalizing executive drawings in Rhinoceros, participants explored laser cutting before moving on to polystyrene massing, refining their skills in hot-wire cutting for precise shaping. The final step? Preparing façades for finishing and assembly, experimenting with materials such as wood, cardboard, aluminum, concrete, and terrazzo—each exploring different textural and visual qualities. Learning is a shared experience at Park—stay tuned for more behind-the-scenes insights from our atelier. #ModelMaking #DigitalFabrication #ParkAssociati #ArchitecturalDesign #Workshop #ContinuousLearning
