On October 11th, a meeting of the 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐤𝐞 𝟔 - 𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐰𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 of the MICS - Made in Italy Circolare e Sostenibile project was held to take stock of the progress of research activities. The event, hosted by Thales Alenia Space at its Turin headquarters, saw the presentation to internal reviewers of the 12 research projects active in the field of additive manufacturing. These projects range from the aerospace sector to the fashion industry and multi-material applications to component repair. The meeting provided an important opportunity for discussion and exchange between all the partners at the meeting: Politecnico di Torino, Thales Alenia Space Italia S.p.A, Politecnico di Milano, Università degli Studi di Firenze, Università degli Studi di Padova, Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, Università degli Studi di Palermo, Leonardo, Politecnico di Bari, Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, Italtel, SACMI, Sapienza Università di Roma, Camozzi Group, Brembo, Università degli Studi di Cassino e del Lazio Meridionale. The Spoke 6 of the project, aimed at supporting the Twin Transition in the Italian manufacturing industry, is a highly relevant initiative that promotes innovation and sustainability through additive manufacturing technologies.
