How many kN of tensile strength can XEPOX resin withstand? Enough to allow the transport of elements like walls or even entire rooms on-site? After 18 tests carried out in collaboration with Marlegno | Costruire Sostenibile in our MATERIALS LAB, we found the answer to this question, addressing the challenge of transporting timber columns or frames with smaller sections that aren’t suitable for the use of standard transport hooks. The test results were highly positive, with XEPOX resin outperforming expectations. China’s sustainability lesson: in its 13th Five-Year Plan, the Chinese government set the goal of certifying at least 50% of all new urban buildings as “green”. In cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen, standards are even higher, and efforts don’t stop there.    China is developing new cities such as Suzhou Taihu New City, designed to house 200,000 residents in buildings constructed to high environmental standards. The #BuildTheImpossible jury has met and reviewed all submissions, evaluating each project’s unique potential. The decision wasn’t easy, but the finalists have been chosen. Univ. Prof.- Dr. Eng.
