Seismix is a startup of the Solgeo group that provides real-time and offline microseismic monitoring services based on innovative data analysis techniques. Seismix employees and partners have a solid background in Geophysics and Seismology and a strict relation with different international universities and research centers. In this way, Seismix is constantly updated on the most recent research outputs in seismology and, more in general, in geophysics.

New hazard maps set to help safeguard UK offshore energy industry Enhanced mapping of the UK’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) is being made available to the public for the first time, providing greater insight into the occurrence of earthquake hazard across an area of seabed that the country holds exclusive rights to, including those for energy production. I am very excited to be part of the EU funded project GeoHEAT, and the lovely consortium of people that are making it happen! 🔥 It was great to be present for the first kick-off meeting this August 14th in what will be a 4 year journey aimed at reducing the cost and increasing the success of geothermal exploration. There is a lot of innovative science planned. We are working towards passive seismic exploration workflows with probabilistic geological modelling, borehole georadar for detecting permeable faults and fractures, DAS and AI-microseismic processing, and the list goes on.
