Re-Skill, the training and business coaching project launched in the first quarter of 2024, has recently concluded. Thanks to the guidance of trainers Claudio Russotto and Tania Campanelli, Stara Glass embarked on a journey that has led to the creation of significant added value within the company. Through skill mapping, the identification of improvement areas, and the implementation of development plans, @Stara Glass has strengthened its corporate culture. Communication, emotional intelligence, stress and time management are just some of the enhanced soft skills. Stara Glass has always believed in and invested in continuous improvement and people development - because the future is built together, one skill at a time.

In February, Stara Glass joined H2GLASS partners in Italy for an inspiring consortium meeting, pushing the boundaries of hydrogen-powered glass production. • Milan – We explored Vetrobalsamo Spa, shared project updates, and discussed sustainability challenges with industry leaders and the Mayor of Sesto San Giovanni. • ZIGNAGO VETRO – A deep dive into our work packages, paving the way for upcoming hydrogen combustion trials at their facility. • Murano – We visited Stazione Sperimentale del Vetro scpa, exchanged the final insights and wrapped up the meeting. As a key player in the project, Stara Glass presented advancements in H₂ burner development, furnace design, and automation & control systems, driving innovation in next-generation glass furnaces. The glass is here! Vetrerie Meridionali's Centauro Furnace 3 (Virgo #3) is operational. Let's rewind to how we got here: from the demolition of the old furnace, starting last November, we rebuilt this state-of-the-art melting technology at the Castellana Grotte (BA) site – brick by brick, system by system – delivering cutting-edge melting technology to Vetrerie Meridionali S.p.A. This project, entrusted to Stara Glass, exemplifies successful teamwork. It is a testament to the power of collaboration and the dedication of all companies involved. Skilled partnerships, a commitment to excellence, and remarkable efficiency made this achievement possible.

Centauro Furnace 3 (Virgo #3) at VeMe is complete! Preheating is underway, and soon this state-of-the-art furnace will be melting glass for Vetrerie Meridionali S.p.A. The glass is on its way!
