ToSwim Inclusive believe that sports know no boundaries, and neither should the fight against disease! That’s why we’ve joined the Swim x ELA project, bringing awareness to an inspiring cause. Today, alongside a community of dedicated individuals, we’re thrilled to share the first trailer for Swim For ELA! This documentary aims to tell the world the powerful stories of those swimming against the current of ALS, raising awareness of the daily challenges they face. To complete the project and ensure global distribution, we’re supporting their goal of reaching €40,000 in 27 days on Kickstarter. ToSwim ha fondato la ToSwim Inclusive Academy per rendere il nuoto accessibile a tutti, specialmente alle fasce più deboli della società: bambini e giovani colpiti da disabilità fisiche, psichiche e cognitive e giovani le cui famiglie soffrono di disagi sociali o economici. Supportando economicamente e tecnicamente progetti di inclusione, promuovendo la formazione della sicurezza in acqua, supportando giovani atleti con borse di studio e creando opportunità di lavoro nel mondo del nuoto. We are thrilled to announce that Carlotta Gilli has joined us as the newest ambassador of the ToSwim Inclusive Academy. We are deeply honored by Carlotta's decision to lend her support to our initiative, aiding us in our #mission to make #swimming accessible to everyone, particularly those facing challenges such as physical, mental, or cognitive #disabilities, as well as individuals from families experiencing social or economic hardship. Carlotta's remarkable journey serves as a beacon of inspiration for countless individuals, showcasing her unwavering #determination to excel both in and out of the pool, despite facing the challenges posed by Stargardt's disease, a degenerative retinopathy. An Olympic and Paralympic #swimmer, Carlotta is a member of the esteemed Rari Nantes Torino and the Fiamme Oro sports group of the Polizia di Stato. Her accolades include an impressive 11 Paralympic #world records, with an astounding 23 medals, 17 of which are gold, earned across World and European Championships. Beyond her achievements in swimming, Carlotta is pursuing her education at the University of Turin, studying within the Faculty of Psychological Sciences and Techniques. Swimming is more than just a #sport; it's a true lifestyle and sensory experience that ToSwim aims to make accessible to all. Unfortunately, for many, especially the younger generation, sports are becoming increasingly economically exclusive or inaccessible due to physical and social barriers. Swimming is no exception. That's why ToSwim founded the ToSwim Inclusive Academy, with the goal of making #swimming accessible to everyone, especially the most vulnerable in society: children and young people with physical, mental, and cognitive disabilities, and young people from families facing social or economic hardships.
