In Pavia, Italy, Renesas joined the District of Microelectronics (Distretto di Microelettronica), a partnership between the University of Pavia (Università di Pavia) and microelectronics companies with a mission to increase the number of students interested in the field and connect them with career opportunities. When they hosted the 6th Annual University & Students Meet Electronic Companies event, Renesas team joined in to meet with University of Pavia - Department of Electrical, Computer and Biomedical Engineering students and give live demos on EV charging stations and Matter Connectivity. Sabino Merlo, Full Professor and Vice President of the District of Microelectronics Committee, commented on the importance of the event and Renesas’ participation for the first time. "There is a big need to have young people, and their families understand that a career in the field of electronics engineering guarantees good job opportunities, and it helps the growth of the nation.
