🚀AI in Venchi: smarter and more reliable quality control We were honored to take part in Automation & Testing 2025, the leading trade fair dedicated to cutting-edge technological solutions, innovation, and Industry 4.0 – 5.0 skills. Together with INVENTIO.ai, we presented our use case: "Craftsmanship 5.0: Training AI for Quality Control in Packaging", featuring Giacomo Vissio, PhD, from Inventio.ai team, and Gianni Giordano, our Data Engineering Manager. This project, implemented last year at our factory in Cuneo, involved integrating an AI-driven Visual Detection system into a production machine to identify and discard chocolate bars with missing or unreadable expiration dates and batch codes. Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming students from ESCP Business School for an unforgettable immersion into Venchi’s world of chocolate and gelato 🍫🍦 The day kicked off with an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of our production facilities, led by the passionate and knowledgeable G.B. Mantelli, creative soul of Venchi. The experience continued with two engaging presentations by Michele Graffi, our Head of Product Development & Raw Materials Purchasing, and Stefania Mondo, our Quality Manager. They guided students through Venchi’s meticulous approach to selecting raw materials, from sourcing the finest cocoa beans to choosing high-quality nuts and natural ingredients - each carefully evaluated to meet our standards for taste, sustainability and authenticity. A heartfelt grazie to Marco Dell'Endice and Sofia Baldissera from the ESCP Careers Centre for their support in organizing this inspiring Company Experience.
