Junior Geotechnical Engineer

We are looking for a Junior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Milan Office.

Your Role

• Project Engineer, supporting our Infrastructure and Structural teams on a range of projects in Italy and abroad.
• Planning, supervising, and reporting on ground investigations.
• Preparation of specifications and design reports.
• Design of foundations, retaining structures, underground structures, slope stability and earthworks for a wide range of building and infrastructurprojects.
• Communicating design solutions and advice to a range of technical and non-technical audiences.
• Understanding trends and best practices in the ground engineering industry and contributing to geotechnical research, collaborating with Arup Skills Networks, universities and/or research partners.
• Communicating effectively in written and verbal presentation formats
• Engaging with Arup global Ground Engineering Network.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Master degree in Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent;
• Membership with a relevant professional body (Ordine degli Ingegneri), acquired or in the process of being acquired.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills (including formal and information presentations, written communications, and reports) essential for team-based working.
• Interest and ability in digital space 3D modelling, scripting, or GIS would be an advantage.
• Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Excel.
• Flexibility to travel.
• High motivation, proactivity, and willingness to take on new challenges.
