Many food allergens not listed as priorities in Europe can still trigger severe allergic reactions and may go unnoticed as "hidden allergens." The rise of #plantbased diets, new #sustainable foods, and specific food #additives has led to the emergence of new allergens that are significant for public health. Understanding hidden allergens is crucial for both doctors and patients to enhance the #prevention, #diagnosis, and #treatment of food allergies, reducing the risk of 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘆𝗹𝗮𝘅𝗶𝘀. The review by 𝗚𝗶𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗽𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼, 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗿é 𝗘𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗹 𝗙𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗮, 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗼 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗮 outlines the characteristics of common hidden allergens and their diagnostic methods. A thorough history, careful review of ingredient lists, awareness of potential cross-reactions or contamination, along with allergological evaluations using "in vivo" or "in vitro" tests, and oral food challenges when necessary, are recommended for accurate identification of the responsible #allergen. Moving forward, it is essential to advance these diagnostic tools, particularly in molecular allergology, and to mandate allergen #labeling on food products.

#Adrenaline auto-injector (AAI) training is crucial, but standards for visual training platforms are unclear. This study evaluated the 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 of AAI-related YouTube videos. #YouTube videos on AAI were categorized by origin and content aim. Quality, reliability, understandability, and actionability were assessed using the Global Quality Scale (GQS), PEMAT-A/V, DISCERN, and a modified DISCERN. Correct usage steps were also evaluated. 107 English videos were analyzed. No significant differences in #views, #likes, duration, or upload time were found 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽𝘀. However, health group videos had higher GQS, DISCERN total, and modified DISCERN scores. 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼𝘀 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗿. AAI use was mentioned in 85% of videos, with a median of 6 steps. The study led by João Cardoso Lopes evaluates allergic emergencies in the prehospital context in #Portugal, based on five years of data from a Portuguese emergency centre. The study found that 1.7% of emergency calls were related to suspected hypersensitivity reactions, with the main causes being #Hymenoptera venom (29.9%), food allergies (29.1%), and #medication (25.2%). 59.8% of cases met the criteria for anaphylaxis, but only 34.7% were diagnosed on-site. #Epinephrine was administered in just 39.4% of cases, which indicates underutilization. This research underscores the need for 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘀, 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄-𝘂𝗽 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. These findings are crucial for improving prehospital care for severe allergic reactions. Maria Bernadette Cilona, Giuseppe Alvise Ramirez, Chiara Asperti, et al.(*) conducted a systematic review using databases like #PubMed, #Scopus, and Web of Science, with the aim to compare the #incidence of severe reactions in patients with and without #asthma. Eight studies with 90,367 patients were included. Among 28,166 patients with #food allergies, those with asthma 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗮 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.
