What does safety and well-being mean to you?  For us at the Asahi Group, it means for every employee to be safe and well so that we can enjoy our lives everywhere, every day. In pursuit of actualizing this vision, we at Asahi Group hosted a sequence of Stop for Safety and Wellbeing workshops at our headquarters in Japan. These were designed to foster authentic and meaningful conversations about safety and well-being, facilitating a deeper understanding and connection to our Global Safety and Well-being Vision on these matters. These interactive dialogues saw our employees voicing their candid opinions on safety and well-being, discussing the real-world challenges we encounter in these areas, and brainstorming ways to realize our vision. This initiative followed the establishment of our Global Safety and Well-being Vision this year. For more information: https://lnkd.in/gJqHTyjN

Asahi Group Holdings and Monash University have been fostering a unique blend of industry-academia collaboration. We're proud of our Asahi Study Grant, established in 2023, that aims to provide students at the university's Japan Studies Department with a place to study in Japan and deepen their interest in Japanese history, culture, and working in Japan. Through this initiative, we hope to encourage students to take an interest in the Asahi Group and deepen their knowledge of it. 🌍🎓 We recently had the pleasure of welcoming five bright minds from Monash's Japanese Studies program to Japan. They immersed themselves into the Asahi world, exploring our philosophy, brands, and operations. With facility tours and engaging discussions with our professionals from various departments, these future world-changers got a taste of the Asahi experience! The highlight of the program was the students' presentation with innovative ideas for global talent attraction. It was a great learning exchange that underscored the mutual benefits of this partnership. 🧠💪 Our collaboration with Monash University is all about attracting and nurturing global talent. 🥂🌐 Let the #learning, growing, and fun continue!  #MonashUniversity #Education #IndustryPartnerships

Asahi Group recently marked a sparkling milestone - the 120th anniversary of Wilkinson. 🎉 Wilkinson celebrated this milestone with a series of bubbly events in Shibuya, Tokyo, and where it all began – Takarazuka City, Hyogo Prefecture. Wilkinson's aim has always been clear - to make sparkling water an integral part of daily life, and thus, create a culture of enjoyment around it. This vision was first realized in 1889 when British entrepreneur John Clifford Wilkinson discovered a high-quality carbonated mineral spring in Takarazuka City. This gave birth to the Wilkinson Tansan brand in 1904, which has since been a favored choice for bartenders at renowned bars. In the spirit of celebrating the brand's rich history and the birthday of its founder, Mr. Wilkinson, on July 15, Asahi Soft Drinks, a part of the Asahi Group, held a commemorative ceremony. They marked this date as the official Wilkinson Day, paying homage to Wilkinson's enduring legacy and to encourage our valued consumers to stay bubbly cool and refreshed during the summer peak. #summer #anniversary #history

This year, we are once again dedicating an entire month to fostering growth and learning at the Asahi Group. Our main objective is to foster genuine inclusion in our workplace and enhance our understanding of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I). We had the privilege of hosting two esteemed guest speakers at the Asahi Group Holdings headquarters. We welcomed Daisuke Kan, President of Cheerio Corporation, and Shawn Choi, Senior Director of Finance at The Coca-Cola Company. In an engaging dialogue session, Daisuke Kan conveyed useful insights on best practices and effective DE&I strategies for broader underrepresented groups, including the LGBTQ+ community. He emphasized the importance of strong leadership in propelling DE&I initiatives, and underscored the pivotal role leaders play in fostering inclusive workplaces. In a valuable online session, Shawn Choi shared his personal DE&I journey and the impact of strong DE&I strategies on the food and beverage industry. The goal of the session was to cultivate empathy and enable participants to comprehend their role in establishing a workspace where everyone feels valued and included. During these interactive sessions, Asahi Group Holdings' employees had the chance to introspect on their actions, gaining crucial knowledge on cultivating work environments that are psychologically safe and comfortable for everyone. We all deepened our understanding of what it truly means to support LGBTQ+ individuals as an ally, along with practical advice on how to manifest this support in our everyday actions. Join us on our journey as we strive to make Asahi Group a more inclusive and supportive environment for all.
