We are pleased to announce the opening of a new “NURA” health screening center focusing on cancer screening in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia in August. The new center will be the second NURA health screening center in Mongolia. In Mongolia, cancer and lifestyle diseases such as ischemic heart disease are leading causes of death (*). However, health screening services in Mongolia are not as widely available as in Japan, which frequently makes it difficult to detect diseases in their early stages. The first NURA center in Mongolia provides the Japanese-style high-quality health screening service, which has been well received by users, with more than 15,000 people already using the service. In order to make NURA health screening service accessible to more individuals, we have made the decision to open a second NURA center. Compared to the first center, the second center can accommodate up to 150 people per day, several times the capacity. We will continue to provide high-quality services to an increasing number of people, thereby contributing to advancement of global health. * Source: “Global Health Estimates: Life expectancy and leading causes of death and disability” on WHO website.
