Out with the old, in with the new! 📈 Yesterday marked the day that the first MAM72 63V PC6 machine (MAM-2) left us. We received this machine in 2011, and it has done us proud. It has produced around 10,000 production parts including: -         Cylinder heads -         Cam covers -         Sumps -         Cylinder blocks This machine has seen us win: -         139 Indy Car Series races -         8 Drivers Championships -         9 Manufacturing Championships We are sad to see it go :( However, like they say, out with the old and in with the new. And aren’t we excited for the new!! We will be welcoming a new machine which is a Matsuura MAM72 70V PC6 in the near future. This is a scene from the 2024 Ene-1 SUZUKA Challenge, held at the Suzuka Circuit on 27 (Sat) and 28 (Sun) July 2024. In this competition, each team creates an Ene-1 vehicle powered by 40 AA batteries, which is then raced. Matsuura employee Isamu Moriya's team is also taking part in this competition, and we are supporting their activities as a sponsor. The team entered the KV-40, a three-wheeled vehicle, and the KV-Moto, which is based on a commercial bicycle, in both categories. As a result, the team finished 29th out of 36 teams in the ‘KV-40’ category due to vehicle trouble, and 14th out of 43 teams in the ‘KV-Moto’ category. Establishing a new education plan for the hand-scraping team is currently underway at the Takefu factory. This is one of the projects of the Future Strategy Office, which was established in July this year. The aim is to improve productivity in preparation for the operation of the new Takefu factory, scheduled for January 2025. We are equipped to delivery your complex parts. Below you can see a fixture system I developed in house, being used to raise a part into the max working envelope of the machine. The part is 18.5" long inside a matsuura mx330. Lots of work went into ensuring that I could fit this part in the radial work envelope. The big issue with this part was a round face that needed to be drills with sharp corners. With some careful programming and attention at the machine this went off with no hiccups!
