Takasago has been selected as one of the Asia-Pacific Climate Leaders for two years in a row! Takasago was among one of the 350 companies in the Asia-Pacific Climate Leaders 2024, surveyed by Financial Times (UK) and Statista (DE). This study is based on the extent to which greenhouse gas emissions were reduced relative to sales from 2017 to 2022, and also takes into account indicators such as Scope 3 (*1) transparency, CDP (*2) score and the SBT initiative (*3). Climate change is one of the most important social issues globally. Takasago continues to focusing on climate change-related issues. *1 Scope 3: This refers to indirect corporate greenhouse gas emissions from activities throughout the supply chain, other than direct activities and energy use (Scope 1 and 2). Specifically, it includes emissions from raw material production and transport, as well as employee commuting and business trips. We have undergone third-party verification, including Scope 3 calculations. *2 CDP: An international non-profit organization based in the UK. It provides an international platform to promote the disclosure of information on greenhouse gas emissions and environmental initiatives by companies and cities. We have also responded to the survey since 2012 and have published our scores. *3 SBT initiative: Stands for Science Based Targets Initiative, an international organization that helps companies set greenhouse gas reduction targets in line with the Paris Agreement goals.
