On 14th May, The Japan-Sweden Society hosted a gathering at the residence of His Excellency Pereric Högberg, Sweden’s Ambassador to Japan. The evening’s distinguished guest speaker was Professor Kohei Miyazono of The University of Tokyo. He shared insights from his many years in Sweden and his pioneering cancer research in Tokyo and Uppsala. In addition to his fascinating cancer research, he detailed the extensive collaboration between Sweden and Japan in cancer research over many years, centred around the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research at Uppsala universitet (Uppsala University). A reception for JSS members followed the lecture. We are grateful to HE Ambassador Högberg for his hospitality and support of JSS. #cancerresearch #japanswedensociety #universityoftokyo #todai #ludwiginstituteforcancerresearch #uppsalauniversitet
