Hosted by the Chinese business delegation led by Mayor Hu Henghua of Chongqing, the meeting highlighted investment opportunities and trade collaborations between the two nations. 🔹 H.E. Amb. Haiyan Guo, Chinese Ambassador to Kenya, applauded Kenya’s strides in infrastructure, emphasizing deeper cooperation in trade and the digital economy. 🔹 Dr. Rutto showcased the KNCCI China Office’s success in facilitating Ksh 7 billion in exports and unveiled a China-based training program for 21 Kenyan companies to sharpen trade competencies. 🔹 Nairobi Deputy Governor, H.E. Njoroge Muchiri, reaffirmed Nairobi’s role as a regional business hub, committed to fostering stronger economic ties. 🔹 Hon. Lee Kinyanjui, Cabinet Secretary for Investments, Trade & Industry, highlighted China’s role in unlocking Kenya’s mineral resource potential for global markets. Several trade agreements were initiated, paving the way for enhanced business volumes, investment flows, and sectoral growth. As Kenya and China deepen economic collaboration, KNCCI remains committed to facilitating trade and investment partnerships between Kenyan and Chongqing enterprises.

A productive meeting was held between the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) led by CEO Ahmed Farah HSC and National Director Mr. Vishal, and Economic Counsellor Maram Makhamreh from the Embassy of Jordan in Kenya. The meeting focused on establishing strategic connections between KNCCI and Jordan's economic institutions, specifically the Economic Department of the Jordan Embassy and the Jordan Chamber of Commerce. The discussions centered on creating pathways for collaboration and strengthening bilateral trade relations. A key agenda item explored how Kenya's private sector could learn from Jordan's experience with free trade agreements and potentially leverage similar opportunities to enhance international trade. The participants also emphasized the importance of improving direct trade between Kenya and Jordan, aiming to reduce intermediaries and create more efficient trade channels between the two countries.
