Yesterday, I had the pleasure of delivering a speech at Dar Toastmasters Club on my communication style. Even as a seasoned Toastmaster, this time was different—I incorporated props beyond the usual PowerPoint slides. I chose tea flavors to illustrate the aspect of my communication. Why tea? Each flavor represented how I engage, adapt, and interact, from the soothing calmness of rose tea to the bold, assertive notes of green tea. The use of props added an unexpected dimension that enriched both my delivery and the audience's experience. Key takeaway: If you never try something new, you’ll never know the impact it can have. This speech reminded me of the power of stepping out of your comfort zone. It’s in these moments of experimentation where real growth happens. For anyone exploring new techniques in public speaking or communication—dare to try. You might be surprised at the connections you make! #Toastmasters #Communication #PublicSpeaking #Innovation #PersonalGrowth DarToastmasters Club

I help businesses and professionals excel in Public Speaking and Data Analytics. Additionally, I co-create innovative tech solutions that drive business success. Are you prepared to unlock greatness? Let's Connect!

Here’s how AI can revolutionize your presentations and transform your public speaking journey. Have you ever faced a moment where AI became your saving grace? Well, AI has done that for me, countless times. Earlier this year, a client tasked me with creating a webinar video documentation for an international project. This required a highly technical, neutral voice for global understanding, and to top it off, the same videos had to be available in multiple languages without losing the content’s meaning or focus. My goal was clear—create a manual that could be easily understood across different cultures and languages while maintaining the depth and clarity of the original content. However, recording and translating each video by hand wasn’t realistic, I can only speak so many languages. I needed a solution that could make this task seamless and scalable. I recorded the original script in English constantly using Orai AI to practice several times on my tone and pitch then used the eleven labs AI platform to generate a neutral sounding voice for the manual’s audio narration before I leveraged another AI translation tool to create video versions in multiple languages, ensuring the tone and meaning of the content were preserved. (Disclaimer: This post is not intended as an endorsement of any specific AI platforms.) The result.......the videos felt so authentic in each language without having to manually record each one from scratch. The final product was a set of videos that not only maintained consistency in messaging across languages but also resonated with diverse audiences. Feedback from international teams was overwhelmingly positive. I realized then how AI can turn a monumental task into something manageable, allowing me to focus on what truly matters—delivering value without losing the human touch. AI isn’t just a tool for tech enthusiasts—it’s a lifeline for public speakers like me. It has helped me navigate both the challenging and triumphant moments in my journey. AI has been my quiet companion, pushing me forward when I needed it most. Have you had a moment where technology made all the difference? Let’s share the stories! #AI #PublicSpeaking #AIForGood

Bongo Toastmasters Club joins the world in celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Toastmasters International! 🎉✨🎈 Toastmasters was founded by Dr Ralph C. Smedley. The doors to the first club opened on a day like this - October 22 - in 1924. Today, we reflect on how far this organization, its leaders and its members have come; our prospects for the future; our own “why” or reason for joining; and our expectations and hopes for our own as well as the organization's future. When asked, our Club President and Past District 114 Toastmasters Director, DTM Emilia Siwingwa, said, "The power of communication lies in its ability to connect people and influence positive change. For these and many other reasons, it is surely a remarkable time to be a Toastmaster." Hear! Hear! Happy birthday, Toastmasters International. Here's to 100 more years and beyond!
