We had an impactful presence at the African Ruby Mini Conference Innovation Week at KCA University, organized by the African Ruby Community! 🎉 To commence the event, Bernard Banta set the tone for insightful discussions around open-source tech, entrepreneurship, and solutions tailored to Africa's unique needs. Our CEO, Elvis Sitati, took the stage to present Uamuzi’s digital platform and shared an inspiring talk on youth engagement in decision-making. Nijeria Toweet of Femtech highlighted sustainable health solutions for women, while Kipngetich Ngeno focused on tech entrepreneurship opportunities. A dynamic panel discussed "Tech Solutions for Africa by Africans," covering everything from policy to brain drain. During Q&A, students engaged actively with Elvis on Uamuzi's roadmap, inclusivity initiatives for PWDs, and upcoming features like a verification badge to boost trust. Diana S. is a seasoned leader in governance, civic engagement and youth empowerment with over 14 years of experience across media, the private sector and development. Since 2022, she has served on the tribunal of Kenya's Orange Democratic Party, promoting justice and accountability. Diana is also a board member at Uamuzi Foundation, where she champions public participation in decision-making processes using technology. She is currently serving as the CEO of The Jonathan Jackson Foundation, leading economic empowerment initiatives in Nairobi's informal settlements. Her career includes leadership roles in marketing, PR and youth advocacy, notably as CEO of Youth Agenda. Diana's work has earned her the Rising Star Award at the Women on Boards Network Kenya Awards 2021. As a public policy expert with advanced training from Strathmore University and NYU, she advocates for sustainable development and workforce diversity, inspiring others through her podcast, "Diversity with Diana."
