Time does fly. This marks my second Year-End event celebrated in Melbourne to welcome and farewell students under Australian Awards Scholarship and New Colombo Plan. I cannot believe that it is almost two years that I have spent my time studying in Australia; I admit that it is so surreal. Yet, I have always felt proud and delighted to be part of such a wonderful community of amazing and talented scholars from different parts of the world. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Australia Awards and Australia Awards Cambodia for all the support and the opportunities, including this particular Year-End event at Government House Victoria. It is such a great opportunity to connect and reconnect with scholars/friends.

I am taking a break from designing to focus on data. I am commencing Research Master in education at UNSW. This opportunity, made possible by the Australia Awards, represents more than advancing my education. It is a chance for me to critically look at data emerged from learning and teaching. Being a part of a vibrant community, I am surrounded by inspired and curious individuals. I am looking forward to exploring new ideas and collaborating with brilliant minds. I would like to extend my appreciation to my partner, family, friends, and colleagues at Good Return as well as the dedicated Australia Awards Cambodia team. I carry that support with me as I take this next step.

Making the Most of the Final Stretch with Inspiring Alumni 🇦🇺 I skipped many events this year as I’m often unsure if they’re worth it and let’s face it—academic life has its way to keep you busy. But with my time in Australia coming to an end in the next few months, I’ve decided to make the most of it. Last night, I went to the UNSW Alumni Awards event/75th-anniversary celebration and I’m so glad I did! The event was not only a great way to reflect on the past two years, but it also left me feeling inspired. The standout part? The Alumni's speech on the theme 'Progress For All'. Two women in particular caught my attention: 💫 Dr. Jessie Christiansen, a small-town lady who became one of the world’s leading astronomers discovering 66 planets. Her 'Research and Teaching Achievement' award reminded me how far passion, patience and hard work (sleepless nights waiting under the star) can take you. 🌟 Mrs. Alexis George, CEO of AMP Limited, also a small-town lady (now you see the pattern haha) and also a commerce graduate like me. She received the Chancellor's Awards for 'Exceptional Alumni Achievement' and hearing her story of resilience and success really resonated with me, especially as I’m reaching the end of my own journey in Master of Commerce in Strategy, Innovation and Sustainability. The event also made me reflect on my mom—she’s raised three kids on her own for over 30 years and her perseverance and strength have always been a huge inspiration in my life. Her belief in education also contributes to my success in being awarded the Australia Awards Scholarship to pursue my Master's Degree abroad in the first place. Oh, and the food was unusually overflowing, so it's a plus! 😂 From getting dressed up to the journey to the event, the whole experience was just refreshing. It’s been a wild ride these past two years and the future still feels a little uncertain. But hearing these ladies' stories and speeches last night gave me some lights. I could also feel that I'm slowly dialing down the "Academic Scholar" mode and starting to pick up the "Corporate Calvary" spirit again. In retrospect, I want to thank you, Australia Awards Cambodia. Thank you for enabling all the opportunities in the past 2 years to impact me professionally and personally. I'm forever grateful. Here’s to embracing the future and making the most of the time I have left here! 💪✨ #UNSW #ProgressForAll #Inspiration #CommerceJourney #Australiaawards #Grateful #NextAdventure

Change Workshop 2024 at Griffith University, Brisbane It was fantastic to hear from many change makers, sharing about their approach in developing the behavioural change projects. After the workshop, I have reflected back on a few awareness campaigns I had worked on before. Changing people behaviour is not just about the awareness but actually a study of their contextual perception and influential factors of their current practices and design the right solution that can trigger the change. I am really grateful to Australia Awards Cambodia for given me the opportunity to attend this insightful workshop.
