In this dialogue, our researcher presented the research findings and policy recommendations on Climate Change and Migration Patterns at the Commune Level in Rural Provinces of Cambodia, to provide an understanding of the interconnections between climate change, environmental degradation, and migration patterns in the studied communes. A panel discussion followed with distinguished speakers sharing their insights on climate-induced migration and government interventions, focusing on policies, plans, and the roles of key stakeholders in addressing climate-induced migration. CDRI would like to extend our sincere thanks to HE Sum Thy, Director General of the General Directorate of Policy and Strategy, Ministry of Environment; Ms Meloney Lindberg, Country Representative, The The Asia Foundation Cambodia; Dr. Song Sopheak, Deputy Executive Director for their welcoming and opening remarks. Special thanks to our panelists and participants for dedicating their time and active engagement throughout the event. This event is supported by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, through The Asia Foundation’s “Ponlok Chomnes: Data and Dialogue for Development in Cambodia” program. #cdri #thinktank #cambodiaresearchinstitute #climatechange2024 #migration #Cambodia
