Daimler Trucks Korea Shines at Ausbildung 2024 Job Fair! 🎉🚛   On October 18th, Daimler Trucks Korea proudly participated in the Ausbildung 2024 Job Fair at Ajou Motor College, connecting with over 500 students.   Ausbildung, Germany's renowned dual vocational education system, blends hands-on experience with theoretical learning to cultivate skilled automotive professionals. Daimler Trucks Korea first joined the program in 2018, a year after its introduction to Korea.   At the event, we showcased our latest truck models and hosted interactive activities, including fun quizzes that helped students dive into the exciting world of truck maintenance. The response was incredible, sparking great interest among the next generation of professionals. At Daimler Truck Korea, we’re always looking for ways to empower our community with the knowledge and tools.   Recently, we reinforced our commitment by providing in-depth Unimog Vehicle and Equipment Training. The program focused on practical, hands-on learning for 10 Unimog technicians from regional offices of the Korea Road Traffic Authority.   During the training, participants explored the latest Unimog models and attachments, including snowplows and brush cutters. Our expert team guided attendees through essential vehicle features, maintenance best practices, and introduced exciting updates to Unimog systems.   Whether it was about refining skills or staying ahead with the latest technology, this training provided a valuable opportunity for participants to enhance their expertise. Today, at the ECCK White Paper 2024 Press Conference in Seoul, Antonio Randazzo, CEO of Daimler Truck Korea and Chairman of the ECCK Commercial Vehicles Committee, reinforced the need for strengthened policies to accelerate the adoption of commercial electric vehicles in Korea. Since assuming his role in August 2023, Antonio Randazzo has been a strong advocate for advancing medium and heavy-duty electric trucks, emphasizing their crucial role in meeting the country’s greenhouse gas emissions targets. During his address, he highlighted the readiness of the industry to deliver cutting-edge electric heavy-duty trucks, which will play a vital role in helping Korea to meet its stringent emissions regulations. He presented several policy recommendations aimed at facilitating the transition, including: ✔️Full recognition of international standards for vehicle homologation ✔️Financial subsidies to support end-users and create cost parity of electric trucks ✔️Development of robust charging infrastructure Additionally, Antonio Randazzo underscored Daimler Truck AG’s global leadership in sustainable transportation, with a focus on both electric and hydrogen-powered trucks, positioning the company at the forefront of the green transition in the commercial vehicle sector. “our recently introduced Mercedes-Benz Actros e600, with a range exceeding 500 km, was awarded with the prestigious Truck of the Year 2025 award, which further solidifies Daimler Truck’s commitment to leading innovation in the transportation industry” He emphasized that strong government support is essential to ensure a successful shift towards cleaner, more sustainable commercial vehicle transportation.

Today, the Supervisory Board has decided to appoint Karin Rådström as CEO of Daimler Truck, starting October 1, 2024, succeeding Martin Daum. With Karin Rådström, Daimler Truck gains a passionate leader with extensive industry expertise and strong customer focus as its new CEO. As a member of Daimler Truck’s Board of Management, Karin Rådström has been responsible for Mercedes-Benz Trucks since 2021. She has successfully reshaped the segment profitability and advanced its transformation towards sustainability. The Supervisory Board of Daimler Truck expresses their heartfelt gratitude to CEO Martin Daum for his efforts and his lifetime achievements.
