One of the best parts of working in South Korea is the opportunity to work side-by-side with our Republic of Korea Army brothers and sisters. This Tuesday, the Eighth Army Public Affairs Office visited our ROK Army Ground Operations Command counterparts in Yongin, about halfway between Camp Humphreys and Seoul. At the GOC headquarters, public affairs professionals discussed operational abilities and challenges and conducted a brief after-action review of the officer exchange conducted during the Ulchi Freedom Shield exercise in August. Both ROK Army and Eighth Army public affairs officers who worked at the others' operations centers said they learned a lot and had a "blast." After the meeting, it was lunch at a local restaurant consisting of bulgogi and traditional Korean side dishes. The ROK public affairs leaders were kind enough to also bring the team to Waujeongsa Temple in Yongin. The Buddhist temple was a pleasant way to close out the day. Eighth Army PAO thanks the ROK GOC PAO for the extraordinary day and look forward to the next meeting. Katchi Kapshida! ( 📸 by Spc. Kelsey Kollar, 982nd Combat Camera Company (Airborne))
