    We are pleased to share the recent findings on the use of graphitized carbon thin-film electrodes for correlative single-entity electrochemistry (SEE), which resulted from a collaboration between the Trinity College Dublin, the University of Milan and the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (HZB). This study demonstrates the substrates’ low roughness, homogeneous morphology, and electrochemical inertness, making them ideal for nanoelectrochemical measurements. The research highlights their compatibility with multiple microscopy techniques and potential for batch fabrication, facilitating extensive correlative-SEE studies. The authors utilized the Park NX10 AFM to perform AFM characterizations in non-contact mode and SECCM measurements.     As devices become increasingly miniaturized, precise local characterization of thin films is essential. Ellipsometry, with its non-contact, high-resolution capabilities, is vital for measuring film thickness and refractive indices down to 1 angstrom. The Accurion EP4 Imaging Spectroscopic Ellipsometer advances these capabilities by integrating ellipsometry with optical microscopy. It delivers 0.01 nm vertical and 1 µm lateral resolution, enabling comprehensive 2D imaging and the simultaneous measurement of over 300,000 points. This allows for detailed analysis of micron-sized features and local variations.
