    SK ecoplant is organises the 2024 ConTech Meet-Up Day, a competition for innovative technologies and solutions in the field of semiconductors and the environment. ConTech Meet-Up Day is an innovative technology competition for start-ups, small and medium-sized enterprises, organised and implemented by SK ecoplant.     SK ecoplant has successfully localised Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) components by collaborating with Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, Bloom Energy, Bloom SK Fuel Cell and other Hidden Champion companies in Korea. SK ecoplant announced today at the '2024 World Climate Industry EXPO' held at BEXCO in Busan, South Korea, that it has successfully localised electrolyte key raw material and electrolyte intermediate powder, one of the core components of SOFC. Electrolyte is one of the materials that make up the cell, the core component of a fuel cell, along with anode and cathode materials. When hydrogen and oxygen combine in a cell, a chemical reaction occurs to produce ions, and the electrolyte helps move these ions to generate electricity. It has a direct impact on the efficiency of SOFC power generation. SK ecoplant plans to continue to localise SOFC components with Bloom Energy and to identify and promote SOFC component manufacturers. In the future, we will expand our technical cooperation in various fields and do our best to help Korea's hidden champion companies demonstrate the capabilities required by the global market.
