In a joint press conference today, SKT and Perplexity announced a partnership aimed at transforming the AI search market from traditional keyword search to AI-powered conversational search. This marks a significant shift in the industry. SKT is working with Perplexity to develop a Korean-optimized AI search engine for its A. (A-DoT) service, ensuring a more personalized and efficient search experience for Korean users. Additionally, both SKT and Perplexity will engage in reciprocal investments. SKT has invested in Perplexity, and in return, Perplexity will invest in SKT’s Silicon Valley subsidiary, Global AI Platform Co. (GAP Co.). GAP Co. is set to launch the beta version of SKT’s Personal AI Agent (PAA) service in the U.S. this year. Perplexity will collaborate with SKT as a search partner for this service, helping to optimize the search engine. We are delighted to announce that SKT has signed a memorandum of understanding with Nokia to demonstrate and commercialize ‘Fiber Sensing.’ Fiber Sensing is an AI technology that effectively detects and evaluates various environmental factors, such as earthquakes or climate change, that could potentially damage fiber optic cables in wired networks. This technology will be commercialized for the first time in Korea this year to accumulate demonstration data on SKT’s commercial network through machine learning technology. The technology offers a plethora of advantages as it can be deployed in existing wireline equipment without any distance limitations. We anticipate securing world-leading AI technology capabilities that will strengthen network stability.

We are announcing our earnings for the second quarter of 2024. We saw solid growth in operating income this quarter, driven by higher performance in mobile and fixed telecommunications. Our enterprise business revenue growth was fueled by higher data center utilization and increased cloud orders. We are pleased to announce that our research paper entitled “Operator’s Perspective on 6G: 6G Services, Vision, and Spectrum” will be published in the IEEE Communications Magazine, one of the most prestigious magazines in the communications sector that is published by the IEEE. From a telecommunications service provider’s perspective, our paper explains key components in realizing the vision of 6G wireless communications, including AI, sensing, and frequency. In particular, the paper highlights the importance of integrating AI to optimize 6G network performance and to enhance both resource management and customer experience. At the same time, SKT is focusing on securing research and technology for Telco Edge AI infrastructure, a technology that will be critical for next-generation infrastructure. The O-RAN Alliance F2F meeting was held in Korea, hosted by SKT supporting with ORIA(Open RAN Industry Alliance), TTA(Telecommunications Technology Association) The Alliance is a global organization leading the standardization of open RAN technology, with more than 300 companies worldwide. At O-RAN 6G Workshop, held under the theme 'The Road to 6G Standards', SKT presented the evolution of the next infrastructure and the importance of Telco Edge AI infrastructure as a core technology.

We are pleased to announce that we've been awarded the IEEE Milestone for our 1996 commercialization of CDMA achieved in collaboration with the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics. The AI Seoul Summit 2024 was held in Seoul on the 21 and 22 May 2024. The Summit was co-hosted by the Governments of Korea and the UK, bringing together international governments, AI companies, academia, and civil society to advance discussions on AI. At the ministerial session held on the second day, our CEO gave a presentation on building sustainable and reliable AI.

We announced our earnings for the first quarter of 2024. We sustained our revenue growth backed by strong performance of the mobile and fixed telecommunications business and enterprise business.
