🇱🇹 Just another testament to create, expand, and invest in the Baltics—and especially Lithuania! 🇱🇹 A huge thank you to Juho Aminoff and the entire European Investment Fund (EIF) team for recognizing the potential and growth of our region and the incredible talent driving it forward. Together, we’re building something exceptional! 🚀 👉 Deep dive into the latest numbers: https://lnkd.in/dMHxbWTr
73% of Sifted's Top 30 fastest-growing start-ups in Eastern Europe and Baltics are based in the Baltics, despite Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania only representing around 5% of the region's population 👏 And there are many reasons to believe that the best is yet to come. The recent €340m share sale by Lithuania's Vinted will allow some of the company’s employees and early investors to cash out some of their shares, which will make the flywheel spin even faster. The same effect has been previously witnessed in Estonia and now Lithuania is clearly following the same trajectory! 🎡 Estonian Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (EstVCA) Latvian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (LVCA) Lithuanian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association

🕵️♂️ Myth or Fact? Nonsense or True? Who knows? When it comes to Private Equity and Venture Capital, there’s no shortage of misleading ideas floating around. But with experts on our side, we're here to bust those myths! We enlisted the help of our member funds to start a rubric of #PEVC_Myth_Busters, here comes the first myth! Myth: Venture Capital is the Best Funding Option for Every Startup To bust this myth, we enlisted Andra Bagdonaite from FIRSTPICK. Here’s what she had to say: “Not every startup is a fit for VC funding. Venture capital works best for companies looking to grow fast and make it big in a relatively short period of time, usually with a clear goal like getting acquired or going public. If a startup is aiming for steady, sustainable growth, it might actually be better off with other funding options, like bootstrapping, taking out a small business loan, or finding an angel investor." Consider this myth busted! 💥 What other myths are common in our industry? Drop your thoughts in the comments 👇 #PEVC_Myth_Busters
