About us
The Lithuanian Laser Association (LLA) unites the participants of the Lithuanian laser and other photonics technology sector. LLA brings together institutions and companies to develop activities in the field of "Photonic and Laser Technologies", which is one of the components of the Smart Specialisation R&D priorities ("New Production Processes, Materials and Technologies") approved by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania. The aim of the Association is to cooperate and concentrate the efforts of its members on targeted activities to make the laser and light technology (photonics) sector (science, studies, industry) one of the key elements of Lithuania's competitiveness. Today, the sector boasts a robust and dynamic ecosystem made up of highly skilled professionals, cutting-edge research institutions, and a strong business community that collaborates on a global scale. Lithuanian laser companies are known for their exceptional quality and precision, offering customized solutions that serve various industries, from medicine to manufacturing. A thriving ecosystem nurtures all its members. The resilience of an ecosystem lies in its ability to adapt and grow together. Today, Lithuania's laser ecosystem comprises over 60 companies and scientific institutions, working shoulder to shoulder to develop world-class technologies exported globally. At the national conference "Lasers. Science and Technology," held on August 23-24, ecosystem participants and guests shared insights into the scientific and technological achievements and applications of lasers and photonics technologies aimed at industrial digitization. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE COMMUNITY AWARD LAUREATES! 🏅 Innovation of the Year 2024: EKSPLA's laser system for 3D photoacoustic and ultrasonic mammography, recognized for its innovative contribution to expanding the boundaries of knowledge and offering new solutions to the market. 🏅 Breakthrough of the Year 2024: Aktyvus Photonics, awarded for their breakthrough in dual-use and military sectors. 🏅 Light of the Year 2024: Andrejus Michailovas, honored for his significant contributions to Lithuania's laser and photonics sector.
