Zabolis Partners has completed the acquisition of laser company EKSMA Optics
Zabolis Partners, the investment and investment fund management group, completed the acquisition of Eksma Optics, a manufacturer of #laser optical components, and appointed a new board.
As reported by the company, the transaction was implemented through Francis EO, a company managed by Zabolis Partners, which acquired sole control of Eksma Optics. The parties do not disclose the value of the transaction.
"With new investors, we will seek to implement the growth and technological development strategy. The transfer of production chains to Europe creates new opportunities", said Dainius Tumosa, head of Eksma Optics.
VŽ wrote that in April the Competition Council allowed "Francis EO" to purchase 50.14% of the shares of "Eksma Optics" and take over its sole control.
Algirdas Baltaduonis, Alvydas Zabolis, Justinas Domarkas, Dr. Michail Berba and Juozas Zabolis became members of the board of Eksma Optics. The chairman of the company's board will be elected next week.
"By investing in the Vilnius photonics ecosystem, we expect sustainable long-term value. We want to help Lithuanian laser sector companies to grow not only organically, but also through acquisitions. We will look for opportunities for new products, combining photonics and software development knowledge", noted Algirdas Baltaduonis, Partner at Zabolis Partners.
Alvydas Žabolis said in the VŽ podcast that this company marks their new investment strategy starting in 2026: "We are buying Eksma Optics because both the defense industry and large European and US photonics production companies want to change their supply chain." They need manufacturers in the Western world, and Eksma Optics is exactly that."
Eksma Optics manufactures and sells laser optical components and supplies its products to more than 50 countries around the world. The company's plans include the development of the technological base and the growth of the supply of new products to the world's leading laser manufacturers.
