One of the standout sessions during Nexus2050 Luxembourg was on high-performance computing and sovereignty, featuring Arnaud Lambert (LuxProvide). This session delved into Luxembourg’s ambitious plans to lead in digital trust and innovation. ✔️The role of cloud technologies and #AI in building a secure and resilient digital infrastructure was underscored. ✔️Luxembourg aspires to be the ‘Silicon Valley of the World’, with an emphasis on collaboration and cultural diversity driving technological progress. ✔️Digital trust and innovation as a key to unlocking a future where technology serves the greater good, highlighting the importance of #cybersecurity and #cloud technologies in securing financial systems. ✔️Digital sovereignty is crucial, not just about controlling assets, but ensuring trust in digital spaces. ✔️Purpose beyond profit: it is not always about money but about the purpose behind #technology use. ✔️The message to young talents: while there’s always more money elsewhere, the ecosystem's diversity and collaboration in Europe are invaluable. This session reinforced the ideas presented in the special video showcased on the main stage during the conference. It echoed the theme that growth is a #mindset, not merely a measure of more. It illustrated how, like seeds, people mix, mingle, and grow when planted in a fertile environment. This metaphor captures Luxembourg’s vision: a place where ideas are sown and choices made, cultivating a sense of belonging and confidence in a strong national character. Luxembourgers feel no loss of identity; instead, they thrive with an international mindset, making #Luxembourg a common ground for innovation and collaboration. #nexus2050 Kamel Amroune Mike Koedinger Paperjam+Delano Business Club LuXembourg - Let's Make It Happen LUXEXPO THE BOX Maison Moderne The Dots Luxembourg

Picking up where we left off 😎 Here are some more gems from Nexus2050 Luxembourg. The session on Startup Risk Mitigation and Investment Attractiveness was an enlightening experience, shedding light on the challenges and opportunities that startups face. Esteemed speakers included Paulo Andrez (author of the bestseller Zero Risk Startup), Cristina von Mayer (Risk Taking Expert), and Benjamin Tillier (Dedicated) with the session moderated by Luis Galveias from LPEA - Luxembourg Private Equity & Venture Capital Association. Here are the key takeaways: ✔️Investors invest in people, not just ideas: they are more interested in the people behind the startups than the #startups themselves. Building trust and showcasing your dedication is paramount. ✔️The most successful #entrepreneurs are those who learn from their failures and are adept at mitigating risks. ✔️Establishing solid relationships with entrepreneurs and keeping a close eye on #funding rounds is essential for sustained success. ✔️For investors, maintaining a diversified portfolio is crucial to ensure sustainable growth and minimize risks. ✔️Taking risks is a necessary part of the entrepreneurial journey. Be bold and courageous in your decisions. ✔️While many founders aspire to raise significant funds to accelerate growth, it's important to be cautious. Just like a plant, a company needs to grow at a sustainable pace. Overpromising and underdelivering can lead to lower valuations in future funding rounds. Raise only what you need! #venturecapital ✔️Regularly ask yourself if you are content with your progress and what you can do to become more attractive to investors. Continuous improvement is crucial. These insights were invaluable for understanding how to navigate the complexities of startup growth and investment. Looking forward to applying these lessons and seeing the impact they will have! #nexus2050 Mike Koedinger Maison Moderne Kamel Amroune The Dots Luxembourg LuXembourg - Let's Make It Happen

During Nexus2050 Luxembourg all the sessions were packed with insights, emphasizing that growth is a mindset, not just a measure of progress. Here are some highlights from the event, which brought a fresh perspective on the future of innovation and #investment 🌱 Investment was a major theme throughout the conference, with a spotlight on the latest trends shaping our future. Sessions underscored the importance of responsible investing to drive positive change for both portfolios and the planet. This reflects a growing awareness that financial decisions today have profound implications for the future. Prof. Dr. Anabel Ternès von Hattburg, a leading figure in future trends, #sustainability, and technology, highlighted the crucial role of long-term, sustainable investments. The key trends discussed included technological breakthroughs, rapid urbanization, demographic shifts, climate change & energy transition and emerging global wealth: forecasting that emerging markets will represent six out of the seven largest economies by 2050. She underscored the necessity of investing in human potential and technological innovation, with a call to: ☑️ Embrace thematic #investing, where the intersection of profitability and responsibility creates new opportunities for investors. ☑️ Focus on today’s right investments to build a better, more sustainable future. ☑️ Think bigger and broader about our goals and aspirations! In the ‘Financial Landscape of 2035’ session, industry leaders like Claude Marx from Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF), Jerry Grbic (ABBL), Stéphane Pesch (LPEA - Luxembourg Private Equity & Venture Capital Association), Serge Weyland (Alfi), Marc Hengen and Nasir Zubairi (The LHoFT - Luxembourg House of Financial Technology) delved into how technology will shape the future of finance. They discussed the critical role of #AI in driving growth and innovation, while emphasizing the need for stability and trust in banking systems. ☑️“Continue playing, continue experimenting, but remember that the fuel is trust. To have trust, you must have stability.” The conversation also highlighted the pressing need for robust #cybersecurity and advanced cloud technologies to safeguard financial systems. But innovation, as echoed throughout the conference, is not just about technology; it’s about building trust and fostering a resilient financial system.
