Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming a trade mission from Luxembourg, including the government trade organizations,  Chamber of Commerce, and enterprises. It was a fantastic exchange, and big thanks to our international startup #KOT for joining in! Lots of ideas were shared, and we all walked away with new insights. Last year, Luxinnovation signed a collaboration agreement with the West Regional Development Agency - West RDA, based in Timișoara, #Romania, aimed at sharing expertise on how to successfully support #innovation. Timișoara is located in a booming region and several economic focus areas as the same as those of #Luxembourg: #healthtech, #IT and #smartmobility, for instance. We recently had the honour of hosting five members of the West RDA team for a four-day benchmarking visit. They had the opportunity to meet several of our staff members to discuss Luxinnovation functions as well as how we support companies and stimulate innovation in #Luxembourg. The West RDA team also met the Ambassador of Romania to Luxembourg, the Romania Luxemburg Business Forum (ROMLUX) asbl, the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and Technoport SA. We thank our Romanian colleagues for their interest and the interesting discussions. We look forward to the next steps in this promising #partnership! At the Ukraine Resilience Business Forum 2025 organized by Luxembourg-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce (LUCC) with amazing team lead by Evgenia Paliy, I had the privilege of moderating a powerful panel on Ukraine’s thriving startup ecosystem. Despite the immense challenges of war, Ukrainian founders are proving that resilience is more than just a buzzword—it’s the driving force behind innovation and growth. 🔹 3,000+ startups in Ukraine, with unicorns like GitLab, Bitfury, and Grammarly leading the way. 🔹 €300M+ raised by Ukrainian startups in 2024, integrating into the European market. 🔹 A surge in defense tech—22% of startups are now focused on military innovation, up from just 3% in 2021. 🔹 A shift to global markets—83% of Ukrainian startups now operate internationally. Our panelists— Pascal Fabing (LuxDev), Olga Ksonzenko (Sigma Software Group ), Julia Bialetska (S.Lab), Pavel Panasjuk (Hydratico), and Ihor 🇺🇦 Kobzar (Funely AI)—shared both their struggles and their triumphs. All three startups are grantees of Seeds of Bravery. From disrupted supply chains to travel restrictions and investment hesitancy, the challenges are real.
