👉In the Ouezzane region, our dedicated team, consisting of Dr. Amine EL KHOUNI, Mahdi DAHANE, and PhD students Aboubacar Mariko and Intissar M. , returned for a follow-up visit. This visit marked a significant continuation of our ongoing research and provided a valuable opportunity to engage with local farmers. 💡During their time in the field, our scientists conducted an in-depth survey to understand the current agricultural, economic, and social impacts of local practices in this region recognized for its potentialities in production of olive oil. Additionally, the team followed the state of olive development through pit hardening degree and collected samples from olive trees for further analyses. Morover, this visit was an opportunity to our team to program future activities with farmers and local authorities for better comprehension of the interactions between water and nutrients and their effects on carbon sequestration on olive orchards. 📌 The visit underscores our commitment to collaborating closely with local communities, ensuring that our research not only advances scientific knowledge but also directly addresses the needs and challenges faced by farmers in the region. #agriculture #CarbonSequestration #OliveFarming #olivetree #olive #ouezzane
