On 6 March 2025, the Permanent Secretariat of the Pelagos Agreement participated in the conference "The geopolitical centrality of the Mediterranean" organised by Dante Alighieri Comitato di Monaco. Together with the Accord RAMOGE, Ambassador Maria Assunta Accili and Dr. Stefano Besseghini, President of ARERA, we discussed the central and strategic role of the Mediterranean and highlighted the challenges and opportunities of the Mare Nostrum. The event was part of the Mediterranea exhibition at the Galerie des Pêcheurs in Monaco available until 30 March 2025.

✨Last week, we had the pleasure of moderating the round table "Purpose-driven careers: jobs with an impact" at the annual career day at the International University of Monaco🎓. The opportunity to inspire young people to pursue a career focused on impact and sustainability to show them concrete examples of activities and projects that generate a positive impact. On 3 March, on the occasion of World Nature Conservation Day, the exhibition "Pelagos Sanctuary" by underwater photographer Greg Lecoeur, founder of the association We Are Méditerranée, was opened in front of the Acquario di Genova in the Porto Antico di Genova. This was also an opportunity to present, to an audience of mainly schoolchildren and students, the Pelagos Agreement, together with the Accord RAMOGE and many local actors committed to the preservation of our Mediterranean. 📆 The exhibition is open until 3 May!

On February 6th, the Permanent Secretariat of the Pelagos Agreement attended the opening of the exhibition "MEDITERRANEAN - VISIONS OF AN ANCIENT AND COMPLEX SEA", organised by la Dante Alighieri Comitato di Monaco. The exhibition, inaugurated by H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, is promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) in collaboration with the Italian Space Agency (ASI), Telespazio/e-GEOS of the Leonardo Group and the European Space Agency (ESA). The Pelagos Agreement together with ACCOBAMS and the Ramoge Agreement is a partner in this event. The exhibition will be open to the public until 30 March 2025 at the Galerie des Pêcheurs in Monaco. 💫 THE PELAGOS SANCTUARY SEEN THROUGH THE CHILDREN’S EYES The Permanent Secretariat of the Pelagos Agreement is happy to share the drawings of children from a primary school in Garlenda, in the framework of the project “Un mondo da a mare”, and from the Aguillon primary school in Toulon showing the Pelagos Sanctuary through the eyes of children. On February 18th 2025, the work "Window on the Mediterranean", donated to Sciences Po Menton by the Pelagos and RAMOGE Agreements, was inaugurated in the presence of the Secretariats of the two Agreements, campus Director Youssef HALAOUA and artist Mr OneTeas Alberti. Created on October 15th 2024 during the RAMOGE-Pelagos event, thanks to the involvement of around sixty students and participants, the work is now installed on the 3rd floor of the campus overlooking the Mediterranean, reminding students daily of the richness and fragility of our sea! 🐬 🐋 🦭 Accord RAMOGE
