"Our Chrysler Pacifica was named North American Utility Vehicle of the Year, one of the most important awards in the industry. Our most recently launched products have had excellent results, proving we are continuously evolving our product portfolio to have the most competitive lineup in the Mexican market. As an example, in the minivan segment, we offer the new Dodge Grand Caravan, the most accessible minivan, and the Chrysler Pacifica, the most technologically advanced minivan ever created. This year, we will bring new products to the market that will continue to raise the bar in their segments.” Alfa Romeo Alfa Romeo sales surged in January 2017 to 38 units, topping January 2016 sales by 65 percent. Alfa Romeo Giulietta reached sales of 22 units; best January since its launch, while Alfa Romeo MiTo sold 16 units. Chrysler Chrysler brand sold 114 units. Sales of Chrysler Pacifica were 66 units. This minivan continues gathering awards, last month it was named as North American Utility Vehicle of the Year by a panel of automotive experts at NAIAS. In addition, Cars.com editors named the all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica the “Best of 2017” at its annual 2017 Best of Awards show. Dodge Dodge brand sales improved 49 percent with 3,726 units; best January since 2009. Among Dodge brand's top performers were the Dodge Attitude with 2,333 units sold, best January ever; Dodge Challenger whose sales grew 75 percent versus January 2016, best January in its history; and Dodge Neon, which continues its positive sales stride with 533 units. FIAT FIAT maintained its positive sales momentum with 1,108 units sold, up 51 percent versus 2016 for its best January ever. Fiat Uno sold 500 units, a 65 sales increase versus January 2016, best January since its launch. Fiat Mobi sold 368 units, while Fiat Ducato registered a 47 percent sales increase. Jeep® Jeep brand sales performed well with 906 units sold. Jeep Grand Cherokee achieved sales of 391 units. Jeep Patriot sold 232 units during January 2017. Last month, the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk was named “2017 SUV of the Year” by Four Wheeler magazine. Mitsubishi Motors Mitsubishi Motors Mexico reported sales of 1,610 units, a 13 percent increase; best January ever. Mitsubishi L200 sold 618 units; best January ever. Mitsubishi Mirage recorded sales of 788 units. Meanwhile, Mitsubishi Outlander sold 175 units. Ram Ram sold 2,110 units, an 11 percent sales increase, driven by the Ram 700, which registered an increase of 7 percent versus January 2016. Ram 4000 sales improved 21 percent versus prior year.
