🤗 👪 Exciting news: Families of our employees are now welcome to explore our Mine in Moramanga!   Since 2015, we have had the pleasure of offering immersive tours of our Plant Site in Toamasina to employees and their families. Now, we are delighted to extend this experience to the Mine Site in Moramanga, allowing everyone the opportunity to get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at our mining operations. ✔ ✳ Farmers' cooperatives, young entrepreneurs, and village savings and credit groups (VSLAs) supported by Ambatovy were in the spotlight at this year’s 25th Agricultural Fair. To date, 97 associations from Moramanga, Brickaville, and Toamasina II established partnerships with Ambatovy. Ten of these associations took part in the fair, showcasing their authentic products and unique talents. 🌊 🐟 For Ambatovy, the blue economy is more than just a concept—it's a tangible commitment to preserving marine resources and supporting local fishing communities. In celebration of National Blue Economy Day in Toamasina on September 5-6, 2024, we are proud to showcase our flagship project. 👍 🤝 In partnership with the Regional Directorate of Fishing and Blue Economy of Atsinanana and the NGO CRADE, this initiative supports five fishing groups, representing 190 households in the Urban Commune of Toamasina and the Rural Commune of Amboditandroho. In honor of World Photography Day. We are excited to introduce you to our talented photographer, Tsiaro Ramanantsoa, who is eager to share his passion and experience with the Ambatovy family. "I've had a passion for photography since I was young. This passion has allowed me to capture unique moments and convey emotions through my camera lens. For me, photography is a way to explore the world and reveal different perspectives that are often invisible to the naked eye. When I joined Ambatovy in 2021, I added a new layer to this passion: health and safety. As the company's official photographer, I am responsible for strictly adhering to safety procedures, just like any other employee. This includes using personal protective equipment suited to each area I work in to minimize the risk of accidents. This requirement brings an extra dimension to my work, making each photo session both a challenge and a responsibility. One of my most memorable experiences over the past three years has been photographing lemurs in the Ambatovy conservation areas. I walked several kilometres through the forest, staying focused and vigilant to capture the perfect angle. The difficulty and beauty of this mission made it an unforgettable adventure, one that I hope will stay with me forever." #WorldPhotographyDay #ambatovy #talent

🌾 Fifty-six households will now benefit from improved irrigation covering over 60 hectares of farmland, courtesy of Ambatovy’s construction of a hydro-agricultural dam in Sahivo, located in the Commune of Antsampanana, Brickaville. The project consists of a catchment basin, a 920m irrigation canal, and four zebu crossings. This infrastructure will not only help achieve a significant increase in rice yields but will also provide a substantial boost to farmers' incomes. ✔ Ambatovy is proud to be a major contributor of local economic development within its host communities.🌾 #Communities #Commitment #Social #Responsibility #Agriculture

🌿 We would like to introduce you to a fascinating discovery: the Solenangis impraedicta. This new species of orchid was first observed in March 2009 in one of our Ambatovy conservation areas. After a long process of scientific study and technical monitoring, carried out in close collaboration between Ambatovy's Environment Department and the Missouri Botanical Garden (#MBG), this unique species, distinguished by its remarkable 33 cm spur, was officially named in March 2024 as Solenangis impraedicta. 🌳Le Salon RSE&IDD continue aujourd’hui avec de nombreuses présentations inspirantes. Ce matin, lors de la table ronde “Démultiplier les impacts grâce aux partenariats multipartites”, Christian Rabenimanana, Manager Environnement chez Ambatovy, et Bruno Rajaspera, Directeur pays de Conservation International Madagascar, ont illustré un exemple concret de collaboration pour le développement durable : le programme de conservation et de compensation en biodiversité dans le massif forestier d'Ankerana. ✅ Ce projet, financé par Ambatovy et mené en partenariat avec Conservation International et les communautés locales, vise à conserver et à protéger la biodiversité dans cette aire protégée de l’Est de Madagascar dans le cadre de notre programme de compensation.
