    𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫 (𝐆𝐎𝐙𝐎)   Permit no: 779/2024 JOB DESCRIPTION: · Offer clerical support to the administrative and technical branches of the unit; · Copy, type, file, operate office machinery including computers and general office duties; · Open files, registration of applications/notices in day book and forwarding to other sections for necessary action; · Receive payments regarding applications, and issuing receipts; · Conduct a daily reconciliation statement of all applications received; · Answer queries re applications, documentations required; · Answer telephones, sets up appointments and help in maintaining an organised filing system, answers emails and manage information; · May be required to man reception desks, to answer queries and handle complaints; · Provide administrative support for management and staff of the Agency; · Work as part of a team; · Any other duties as required by the CEO or his delegate.    Eligibility Requirements:   (a)    Adequately proficient, both verbally and written, in the Maltese and English languages (Level C1/C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for languages);   (b)    In possession of:                               i.           A pass in five (5) SEC subjects at MQF level 3 which must include Maltese, English, and Mathematics.                               ii.           An MQF level 3 VET qualification will also be considered.   In addition, an ECDL qualification is required and candidates who are not in possession of such will still be considered eligible provided that they obtain the qualification by the end of the probationary period.   Eligible applicants must be residents of Gozo or willing to work in our Gozo offices.     𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗻  Permit no: 859/2024 Job Description:   –        Meeting with the book designers to discuss final product specifications. –        Cutting papers to size using hand and machine cutting tools. –        Gluing and stitching components into the cover using manually operated machines. –        Attaching endpapers to the body of the book. –        Trimming book edges to size. –        Cutting and attaching outside cover material to the board cover. –        Gluing outside endpapers to the final cover. –        Assist in book archiving as directed by the Head of Unit. –        Assist in using library equipment such as book carts and ladders for accessing high shelves and transporting materials.   Eligibility & Skills Requirements: –        Ability to operate hand and machine cutting tools. –        Ability to operate presses and manipulation tools –        Excellent fine-motor skills. –        Ability to lift and carry heavy boxes, books and other library materials. –        Previous experience is not required but encouraged.     𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿 Permit no: 710/2024 Job Duties: Oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidance and policies relevant to the remit of Identità; Conduct systematic due diligence and investigations on requests submitted to Identità, including on-site inspections as provided by law; Evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously Assist the units within Identità in the implementation of internal policies and procedures; Collaborate with other entities to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations; Identify compliance issues and provide advice and guidance on high ethical standards; Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of Identità as well as evolving best practices in compliance control; Compile statistical information and prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate; Responsible for enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of operations;  Work diligently to complete the duties keeping in mind the objectives of the Agency; Conduct any duties assigned to him with utmost responsibility, consistency and integrity; Preserve the Agency’s integrity by making sure it stays on a lawful and ethical course; Adheres to legal standards; Testify in court; Freedom of movement interviews; Any duties as instructed by the CEO or his delegate.     📢 ‼️ Attention Employers and Employment Agencies The Employment Agencies Regulation (Subsidiary Legislation 452.130) comes into force on the 1st June 2024. Those employers whose recruitment model falls under the definitions of applicability of these regulations are subject to an Employment Agency Licence issued by the Department for Industrial and Employment Relations (DIER) and must be in possession of such license before they submit any single permit applications on behalf of any prospective third-country employees, with Identità. 🚫 As per regulation, unlicenced agencies will not be able to submit any applications with Identità.

For the below application types, the Skills Pass must be 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 achieved before starting their application process and submitted with the application documentation: ✅ 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 already in Malta; ✅𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗿 from non-hospitality to hospitality industry; ✅𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 within the hospitality industry. Those applying whilst ✅𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗔𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱 must complete Phase 1 before starting the application and submit it with the application documentation. Once Identità issues the Approval in Principle letter, the applicant must complete Phase 2 to achieve the full Skills Pass before applying for an entry visa or proceeding to Malta to finalise the single permit application.     At the Public Service Expo24, the digital Person Register project was unveiled. This initiative aims to create a central service allowing all Government departments and agencies to access and utilize the same personal data for each individual. The launch took place during a discussion featuring Ms. Joyce Dimech, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry for Home Affairs, Security and Employment, Mr. Steve Agius, CEO of Identità, and Mr. Emanuel Darmanin, CEO of MITA (Malta Information Technology Agency). This project represents a long-term collaboration involving significant technical work. This project marks another step towards reducing bureaucratic hurdles through technology, simplifying administrative processes, minimizing redundant data submissions, and providing citizens with convenient access to essential services.
