Eligibility Requirements: (a) Adequately proficient, both verbally and written, in the Maltese and English languages (Level C1/C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for languages); (b) In possession of: i. A pass in five (5) SEC subjects at MQF level 3 which must include Maltese, English, and Mathematics. ii. An MQF level 3 VET qualification will also be considered. In addition, an ECDL qualification is required and candidates who are not in possession of such will still be considered eligible provided that they obtain the qualification by the end of the probationary period. At the Public Service Expo24, the digital Person Register project was unveiled. This initiative aims to create a central service allowing all Government departments and agencies to access and utilize the same personal data for each individual. The launch took place during a discussion featuring Ms. Joyce Dimech, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry for Home Affairs, Security and Employment, Mr. Steve Agius, CEO of Identità, and Mr. Emanuel Darmanin, CEO of MITA (Malta Information Technology Agency). This project represents a long-term collaboration involving significant technical work. This project marks another step towards reducing bureaucratic hurdles through technology, simplifying administrative processes, minimizing redundant data submissions, and providing citizens with convenient access to essential services.
