Net-zero means that we will reduce our greenhouse gas emissions as close to zero as possible by 2050. In doing so, we are making a significant contribution to protecting our planet. What we do: 🔋 Renewable energy: We have been sourcing 100% green electricity since 2022. We are also continuously expanding our own electricity generation. 🚛 Sustainable logistics: We are further expanding the use of low-emission e-trucks and focusing on efficient delivery logistics in order to further reduce our CO2 emissions. 🏢 Sustainable construction: Our new stores, warehouse and administration locations are built to the highest ecological standards to maximise energy efficiency. 🥗 Expansion of the product range: We are focusing on expanding our product range to include more plant-based proteins and more vegetarian and vegan products from our own brand Vemondo. Based on the Planetary Health Diet developed by leading scientists, we want to offer our customers more sustainable and environmentally friendly alternatives with our "Conscious Nutrition" strategy. ♻️ Circular economy: As part of the Schwarz Group's REset Plastic strategy, we are committed to closed loops and the conscious use of resources. 🌱Community engagement: We work closely with our suppliers, who are responsible for 75 percent of product-related emissions and support them in setting themselves a climate target by 2026 in accordance with the criteria of the Science Based Targets Initiative.
