The International Energy Agency (IEA) has recently released its "Clean Energy Investment for Development in Africa" report, highlighting the primary challenges the continent faces in securing affordable, reliable, modern, and sustainable energy. Here are some key insights: 🚫Despite abundant energy resources, approximately 600 million Africans still lack access to #electricity. ☀️Africa possesses some of the world's most cost-competitive renewable resources, including 60% of the best #solar resources globally. 💡To meet the increasing energy demand from African countries, annual energy investment needs to double by 2030, with three-quarters of this investment directed towards #cleanenergy. At Afreenergy, our teams have a proven track record in delivering high-quality solar and hydro projects, from greenfield development to construction and operation to contribute to bridging the funding gap for clean energy access in Africa. 🤝 If you want to discuss our capabilities, come and meet us at the upcoming Africa Energy Forum (aef) in Barcelona from June 25 to 28!
