In an era when #sustainable #agriculture is more important than ever, the DJI Agras T50 helps reduce the environmental footprint of farming. By using intelligent spraying #technology, the drone significantly reduces the use of water, pesticides, and fertilizers, cutting down on waste and minimizing runoff into the surrounding environment. The precision spraying ensures that crops receive the exact amount of treatment they need—no more, no less—leading to healthier, more productive plants and less environmental impact. ETG’s Statement in response to the European Commission’s Proposal for amending the date of application of the Deforestation Regulation: As part of ETG’s commitment to zero deforestation, we are fully aligned with the goals of Regulation (EU) 2023/115, also known as the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). Our efforts to address the requirements set by EUDR span #cocoa, #coffee and #soy supply chains, where we work with hundreds of thousands of #farmers to implement sustainable farming practices. In close collaboration with farmers and farmer groups, we ensure that our sourcing areas are protected from #deforestation and forest degradation. We emphasize the importance of EUDR as a catalyst to meet the urgent need for deforestation-free supply chains. We believe it is crucial to maintain the regulation’s focus and substance without compromising its objectives. Therefore, we believe any reopening of the regulation itself or a further delay beyond the 30th of December 2025 should be avoided. ETG’s goal is to continue addressing deforestation and its root causes beyond EU regulation, ensuring a sustainable and equitable future for all stakeholders. https://lnkd.in/dywTvCTx

In Sub-Sahara Africa, circa 20% of food is lost even after harvesting, which is twice as high as in Europe and the US. For some important staple crops like maize this can be as high as 40-50%, undermining economic development and food security of rural farmer households. To tackle food waste and loss, #ETG announced joining the 10x20kx30 Commitment at the #Climate Week NYC, an initiative coordinated by the World Resources Institute (WRI) with partners including FAO, The World Bank and the private sector. André van den Beld, ETG Head Sustainability, highlighted in the panel the need for measurable and impactful interventions. Through a Target-Measure-Act approach, ETG will support at least 20,000 #farmers to reduce on-farm and near-farm food losses by 50% by 2030. This will include the scaling of farmer extension services in ETG’s crop trade and FMCG supply chains in #Africa. 10x20Kx30 | Champions 12.3 (champions123.org)
