About us
The Employers Consultative Association of Malawi (ECAM) was registered in 1963 under the Trustees Incorporation Act of Malawi as an employers’ trade association representing all subscribing employers. We have direct membership from 250 organizations which includes 6 associations. The Associations represent over 277, 000 members. The primary role of the Employers’ Consultative Association of Malawi (ECAM) is the promotion, guidance and protection of employers’ interests in labour, employment and social-economic issues.

HAPPENING NOW:- ECAM is part of the Malawi delegation on a learning visit to Zambia sponsored by the International Labour Organization to benchmark on how Malawi can operationalize the Workers Compensation Fund. The Executive Director George Khaki said "we want to believe that the Malawi Government will undertake urgent steps to put up the Workers Compensation Fund which is long overdue." The delegation also paid a Courtesy call on the Malawi High Commission in Zambia.
