DPI is a young dynamic Malaysian company innovating the design and supply of Sand & Produced Water Management, Gas Separation Membranes (CO2, N2) and Mature Facility Production Enhancement solutions to the upstream O&G sector. We can offer Purchase, Rent or Lease options for turnkey process packages, retrofit upgrades or third party spares which can all be operated/installed by highly competent in-house operations and service personnel. Innovation is easy to claim but genuine innovation is harder to demonstrate - DPI is currently revolutionising the High Pressure Sand Management market which changed forever during the 2016-18 and 2020 Covid-19 slowdowns. Operators now demand Service Companies to do much more for much less, with equipment that hasn’t changed significantly in the last 20 years. DPI has responded by launching its new CyFi(TM) SMS technologies that are more efficient, configurable & versatile while reducing mobilisation and capital costs. DPI's CyFi systems, augmented by our 15kpsi capable ReTismo(TM) separated sand monitoring systems, is now the goto HP SMS technology suite for many of the major service companies. We have deployed this same “different thinking” ethos to our Produced Water Management systems. DPI’s Partial Processing (PP) technology can dramatically change the economics of mature, high water cut fields by separating, treating and disposing of a significant proportion of the water phase from a Production manifold, on a WHP, without the use of a standard separation train. Removing the water at source debottlenecks the WHP, the inter-platform flowlines, the CPP's separation train while reducing the back pressure on the production wells, resulting in significant oil production increases.     Another DPI SpinStack Water Polishing Unit (WPU) rental skid under final testing in our flow loop at our factory in Malaysia, this time for a client in the Middle East. For this application, the system will be optimised to treat oily Produced Water from 1000 ppm to less than 15 ppm, performed without the use of any media based consumables. The latest generation of SpinStack WPU skids within the DPI fleet are fully automated, self contained and optimised to minimise pressure drop, oil reject stream volumes and operator intervention. Developed primarily for Well Test, EWT and Early Production Facilities, the technology is also highly applicable for Production Debottlenecking applications, such as in this current case. DPI is NOT a commodity rental equipment enterprise but adds value by only renting its own in-house process technology. DPI's emphasis is on both Deployment AND Separation technology which implies that our rental fleet is all highly configurable to meet the individual application requirement, in short order, for the areas of Solids, Water and Gas Management.

    DPI WaterSkim Partial Processing Rental System for Mature Fields The Produced Water Management side of DPI's rental business continues to grow apace. Here we have a fully automated DPI WaterSkim Partial Processing rental package being prepared to execute another offshore Produced Water debottlenecking application in the Middle East. Consisting of two compact skids, this proprietary technology is designed to remove up to 90% of the water phase direct from a multiphase production manifold (no production separator required) and treat the separated water to the spec that permits its disposal either to sea or by re-injection. Removing water from the Production Manifold (source) debottlenecks both the downstream process plant & infield flow lines. It creates capacity in the production infrastructure to allow (i) the continued production of existing/shut-in high water cut wells and (ii) extra production from new wells, sidetracks and tiebacks. The equipment can be installed on WHPs, HPMs, CPPs, MOPUs, either manned or unmanned. For this application, the WaterSkim system has a nominal 20,000 bpd capacity (which will be derated for an initial Pilot Phase) and will treat the separated Produced Water to <15 ppm to allow overboard disposal. This technology does not require pumps, recycle streams nor the use any media based consumables.

    As we continue to expand our Well Test Rental Equipment portfolio, which now includes our Non-Consumable Produced Water Treatment equipment specifically optimised for Well Tests, Extended Well Tests and Early Production Facilities, the competency of our operations personnel across all our Sand, Water and Gas Management equipment spreads is paramount to DPI’s core business goals. This week, a number of our operations staff, together with some of our KL based engineering team, attended a two day training session to mob/demob, operate and optimise one of our SpinStack Water Polishing Units. Connected to a full scale flow loop, they were able to have many hours of “hands on” SpinStack WPU experience, in a controlled environment, learning to optimise equipment performance under various normal and upset scenarios. This will always be one of my favourite parts of my job - while technology and automation are the new frontlines in WT equipment, competent and confident operational oversight remains key.

    DPI API Gate Valves Do you ever get frustrated at the cost of API 5k, 10k and 15k psi Gate Valves and in particular, the high cost and long lead times of the redress kits and other spares from the usual suspects?  We did. In fact we got so frustrated that we decided to manufacture our own.  Our original intention was to build these valves solely for inclusion into our own CyFi High Pressure Sand Management rental systems, to mitigate the schedule and performance risk of third party supply.  However such was the interest in them, we were persuaded to start supplying them directly to our established client base and as a result, DPI is now an approved supplier of API valves to many of the global and national well service companies.  If you’re interested in finding out about an alternative supplier of good quality API 5k, 10k and 15k psi Gate Valves, provided at a reasonable cost, and supported by sensibly priced off-the-shelf spares, please contact DPI for a quote and technical specifications.

    DPI OGA Crawfish Boil 2023 For DPI, 2023 has a few notable highlights already in the bag; among these have been expanding our operational territory and launching new technologies across our SMS & PWT rental and capital equipment portfolios. In parallel, we have continued to strengthen the strategic partnerships we have with our key clients while staying in the breakaway through innovation & aftermarket support (to use bike racing terminology). What better way then to celebrate these highlights than to host our now infamous Crawfish Boil evening during OGA week in KL, Malaysia. Clients, suppliers and friends of DPI gathered at Tatto's to enjoy a fusion between authentic Louisiana style Crawfish, cooked by our very own MD, Ky Doucet, and Tatto's finest Italian offerings. A great evening that became another 2023 highlight ......
