This morning, at the Tambun Parliamentary Office, we organized a Bangsa Malaysia Workshop for students coming from around Ipoh. The workshop was very lively, with students actively and enthusiastically participating in discussions on racial issues. Thank you to the Tambun Parliamentary Office, the Prime Minister, and all the students who attended. Let's understand and combat racism together for a better #BangsaMalaysia future.

The conference was attended by about 80 participants, featuring panellists from international and local circuits, speaking with their expertise about manoeuvring out of racism and racial discrimination. It was a fruitful discussion and we are happy to bring forward the suggestions to be incorporated as part of our advocacy work. We would like to thank Jerald Joseph, Alissa Wahid, Teesta Setalvad, Sudhir Thomas Vadaketh, Anne Baltazar, Daniel Gooi, Lau Weng San, Zulkifli Hashim, Rozana Isa, Zulkarnain Mohd Yasin, Arulkumar Singaraveloo for being a part of our moderator and speaker lineup, and for bring inspiring insights into this matter.

Yesterday was a very interesting day! Pusat KOMAS hold two Bangsa Malaysia workshops in the Malim Nawar DUN, with one session with the local leaders within JPKK and one more session with the Tanjung Tualang community. We are excited with the enthusiastic spirits of our participants that come to learn what it means for us to be Malaysians, to get guidelines and inspirations to be better Malaysians. Many agreed that they have learnt something new after attending our workshops. We thanks ADUN Malim Nawar YB V. Bavani Shasha for supporting us to do our workshop in this constituency. We hope that more will carry the Malaysian spirit.

Pusat KOMAS took the chance after conducting our Bangsa Malaysia workshop in Kampar, Perak, to meet with YB Dato Seri Ir Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin, Perak exco member in charge of infrastructure, Energy, Water and Public Transport in Ipoh. We also met with Mr Amir Sabri, political secretary under the Tambun parliamentary seat at the Pusat Khidmat Masyarakat Tambun. Our meeting was very productive and we hope there are a lot more chances to work together with stakeholders in Perak.
