SCANIA MALAYSIA OPENED THE 44TH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF PEMBAWA 2024 WITH THE SCANIA DRIVER APP AND ADVANCED DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM (ADAS). The 44th Annual General Meeting of PEMBAWA today also witnessed presentation of Scania’s standard safety features and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) in Scania’s New Bus Generation (NBG). With the focus on enhanced safety for both drivers and passengers, Lane Departure Warning (LDW), part of Scania’s Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), is now included as a standard safety feature on all Scania New Bus Generation together with Electronic Braking System (EBS) with Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and Traction Control. LDW is active when the vehicle travels at speeds above 60 km/h and alerts the driver with vibration in the seat squab. The driver experiences a clear vibration in the left or right-hand side of the seat squab, depending on which side the vehicle is about to cross the lane marking. The Scania Driver app is the driver's main contact point into the My Scania digital ecosystem – with the drivers’ perspectives and features in focus, integrated with all of the relevant services of the fleet.
