We're excited for the rain, especially during this drought, and want to ensure your safety! • Avoid Flooded Areas: Do not attempt to drive or walk through flooded areas, as the water may be deeper than it appears and can be dangerous. Potholes can be created that cause serious injury or damage. • Avoid Crossing Low Water Rivers: The water levels can rise quickly and become dangerous, even if the river appears shallow. It's always safer to wait until the water levels have receded before attempting to cross. • Stay Indoors: During heavy rains and thunderstorms, it's best to stay indoors and avoid using electrical appliances. • Emergency Kit: Keep an emergency kit with essentials such as water, non-perishable food, flashlight, batteries, and a first-aid kit.
