76 Bowery recently topped out over Chinatown. The eight-story reinforced concrete structure sits in front of the entrance to the Manhattan Bridge between Canal Street and Hester Street. The new 85-foot-tall building is located within the “Diamond Center” of Chinatown, where a number of small jewelry shops line the busy streets. It is being designed by C3D Architecture and will include 14,488 square feet of office space. Titan Realty & Construction is the general contractor and is overseeing the build.
Recent photos show that the bottom floors have been assembled while the upper levels are almost finished. The glass curtain wall should soon follow. Surrounding each story and the edges will be a brown-colored exterior steel frame. The second floor will have a 600-plus-square-foot rear outdoor terrace that faces west, while the eighth floor will include a private 700-square-foot rooftop deck with views of the Manhattan Bridge, Midtown, and the Lower Manhattan skyline. The building is located near a number of subway stations, with access to the B, D, F, N, Q, R, W, Z, 4, and 6 trains, most of which can be found along Canal Street.
A completion date of spring 2019 had been posted on the construction fence but sometime in the second half of the year seems more plausible.

Lovin it
It’s not “76 Bowery Street,” it’s “76 The Bowery,” going back to the Dutch designation of the street.
Agree with Jim above — it’s not “Bowery Street”, it’s just “Bowery” or “the Bowery.” Unless Houston Street is pronounced like the city in Texas…
Where is affordable housing
Bowery STREET!!!! Disgraceful. And repeated three times – in the title, photo caption and in the body of the article.
Please pardon me for using your space:
