Alliances for Africa (AfA) recently trained: 👉🏿10 Area Commanders, 👉🏿 38 Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), 👉🏿5 Heads of Gender Units, along with the PPRO and SOS of the Nigerian Police Force in Imo State. The training focused on increasing their knowledge of the Imo State Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) Law (2021) as a critical legal framework for effectively addressing various forms of gender-based violence in the State. Following the August 2024 session where 70 senior police officers were trained, the Imo State Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, recognized the need for more officers in all Divisions to receive similar training. This is a win for us in our continuous efforts towards ending violence against women and girls in the State. 👇🏿Please click on the video to watch. https://lnkd.in/dYG2MzCh #vapplaw #NPF #policeman #gbvawareness #EVAWG.
