We at Dimension11 Games had a great time at the recently concluded #LagosGamesWeek hosted by Kucheza Gaming in collaboration with the French Embassy, Maliyo Games, and Africacomicade. Our co-founder and CTO, David Olamide, led a session titled "Our Origin Story: Why we chose to build the Legends of Orisha" and participated in a panel discussion titled "The Future of African Gaming: Challenges or Opportunities." During the event, we enjoyed showcasing our game "Legends of Orisha: Blood and Water" and received valuable feedback from attendees. It was also an excellent opportunity to engage with key stakeholders in our industry, including Hugo Obi, Michael Oscar, Cordel Robbin-Coker and many others. Additionally, we were honoured to be invited to the Gamr (Techstars '23) Award Night, where our co-founder and CEO, Ewere Ekpenisi-Igumbor presented an award in one of the categories.

Last week, the Omniverse summit was amazing! Nigerian creatives, innovators, and entrepreneurs gathered to discuss, network, and contribute to the industry’s growth. The exhibition by British council, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), Iyoland, Dimension11 Games and others was outstanding. I announced the groundbreaking $617 million Investment in Digital Economy & Creative Enterprises Fund (IDICE FUND) to drive economic growth within Nigeria’s digital and creative economy. The Ministry of Art, Culture and the Creative Economy hosted working sessions for stakeholders to collaborate, exchange ideas, and co-create strategies to propel the industry forward. We look forward to integrating your contributions and implementing programmes that will benefit the industry as a whole.

We at Dimension11 Games are incredibly grateful for the incredible opportunity presented to us by The Omniverse Africa. This event served as a remarkable testament to the dedication of the organizers, particularly the Omniverse team, in conjunction with the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, and Creative Economy (FMACEE). Their recognition of the efforts within the Nigerian gaming scene and their commitment to providing support are truly commendable. The event itself was an inspiration, fostering collaboration across industries and shaping a vibrant creative ecosystem for the entire Nigerian creative landscape. Access to renowned individuals and personalities within the creative sector proved invaluable, opening doors to potential partnerships and collaborations that hold immense promise for the future. We commend the Omniverse team, especially the Convener Obi Asika, and the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, and Creative Economy, for their dedication to driving growth and transformation in Nigeria. Events like this are crucial for building a strong and interconnected creative industry, and we were thrilled to be a part of it. Here's to a bright future for the Nigerian creative industry, propelled by collaboration and innovation! #Omniverse #Dimension11Studios #GamingIndustry #Collaboration #Nigeria #CreativeSector

I had the opportunity to play an impressive demo of Legends of Orisha by Dimension11 Games and hear the inspiring journey of Kugali Media and their partnership with Disney Animation. See you soon again Lagos!
