BCRAVE Project Workshop commenced The BCRAVE Project workshop has officially commenced. This workshop, which is a key component of our ongoing efforts to build community resilience against violent extremism in Zamfara State, is set to empower participants with critical skills and knowledge. The workshop is going smooth and well-organized, with attendees from Zamfara State Government, the targeted communities of Saminaka, Damba, Janyau, and Bulunku eagerly signing up to participate. The workshop will cover various essential topics, including Understanding Violent Extremism, Preventive Measures and Early Warning Signs, Media Literacy, Critical Thinking, Community Policing, and Human Rights. The Centre’s Executive Director, Adamu Abubakar Kwatarkwashi highlighted CENCEX's robust track record in community development and their readiness to provide comprehensive training programs tailored to HUCOMDEF’s needs. These training programs are designed to equip the BCRAVE project team with advanced skills in community engagement, conflict resolution, and extremism prevention strategies. Moreover, CENCEX offered to facilitate networking opportunities with HUCOMDEF and stakeholders working in similar fields, fostering a broader coalition aimed at creating sustainable peace in the State. The collaboration will also involve the sharing of best practices and resources, ensuring that HUCOMDEF can effectively implement its initiatives.
